OKAY.. here is the situation..i have recently noticed that my right shoulder is rolling forward.. it is getting noticeable even from the front..my left is fine.. the shoulder is also starting to feel weird in certain positions..if i bring my arm overhead it makes a "klunking" sound.. not popping but more like bone on bone or rolling out of position..nothing really has changed in my training so the rolling forward of ther joint confusing me.. i was told by a pt in passing that i may have rotator cuff weakness that is causing it to roll forward.. any suggestions??

I have to admit that it strikes me funny that when you ask almost anyone what is wrong with your shoulder, they always say it is the rotator cuff. Ever notice that? lol There is more to the shoulder than just the rotator cuff. In fact, I have a very similar situation but without the rolling forward. I have what is called "scalene" shoulders where one is higher than the other (just slightly, though). I have had problems with what might be the same thing as your klunking sound but mine is from a slightly torn labrum (the shock absorber where bone meets bone). I have a flap of the labrum that when I raise or rotate my right arm at the shoulder, the bone rolls over the torn piece of labrum and "klunks". I cannot say that this is what you have but I thought I would share this as I get tired of hearing every diagnosis about the shoulder being only the rotator cuff.

I'm no doctor by any strech of the imagination, but You might start by upping your in take of EFAs(omega-3,omega-6 which is simply put EPA,DHA,CLAand GLA) along with things like flaxseed oil, calcium, manganese, and good old Vitamin C. BCAAs also supports bone strength as muscle tissue grows .Sometimes it can be as simple as warming up a litte longer or just take a little time off that certain movement , as the body when given a chance will always try to correct and adjust itself. After checking out little things first you may find that your shoulder is feeling better. If it seems to be deeper than that theres a compound for horses called Adaquan, works great in repairing (YES I said repairing) tendons. Good Luck my friend!Too hard for your Momma, Too hip for your Daddy, Fuck Milk, Got TREN !!!!!

I'd get it checked out professionally ASAP, so that you don't (further) damage what ever structures are involved with the "klunk."

LOL. I'm good man. We had that little "mix-up" at MC and then have been busy over here. Plus things in the "real" world have been busy as HELL. Lots of eating, too. ;^)
I still come around a bit, mostly just to lurk - I kinda have the tendency to forget where I've entered threads and leave someone hangin'...
