  • glute day

I think I need to take 1 of my "off" days and make it a glute day. Everything is come in great cept the gluts. Got 4 weeks from today which effectively means only 3 weeks of training so I need to hit 'em hard, 1 legged sqquats (sorry dp but legs hurt too much sometimes to do everyday), lunges, stiff-leg deadlift, can't do butt-blaster as they took the machine away!

Something to consider doing: double stepping the gauntlet. I call it the gauntlet, anyway. It is the stairmaster that has revolving steps - kinda like an escalator. I train legs on Mondays and do the gauntlet, double stepping (skipping a step for a longer stride) it on Fridays after my regular workout.

These will help your glutes quite a bit but not every gym has them.

yes we have one and I'll try it but....and I'm not sure why mark didn't catch this......I doubt with my "lack of substantial height" that I could skip a step on that thing!

The 1-legged squats are done in the smith machine einsteins!!!! LMAO!!!

i know, i know....but don't ya think I'd look sillier trying to balance on 1 leg without it??? most likely ending up face down on the ground???

now way bro I agree the SM is the only way to go. just one question the leg you dont use do you keep it behind you or out in front? The reson I am asking I have seen some guys put there leg on a bench behind them.

I can let you know after I try it today but I believe that behind, almost like a lunge is going to work best.

Skip's stairmaster routine sounds like a great way to work the glutes. My 1 gym has that machine. I'll have to give it a try.

Good luck KR! I'm sure the glutes will shape up.
