  • acupuncture tomorrow

I have an appointment tomorrow to try acupunture on the tendonitis I have in my right elbow. Hoping this helps as nothing else has!

From everything I've read, accupuncture is suppose to be awesome (and painless as the needles are about the size of a hair)

I got some crud this week-a cough and congestion that's going around at work and I had acupuncture done twice. It helped a ton, the needles don't hurt at all, they kind of tingle. I hope it helps, KR!
Eat it today, wear it tomorrow...

Hey KR you know how acupuncture works right? It's done by a kind of neuronal resonance; namely they don't stick the needles in where it hurts, they stick them where the hurt is coming from. Guess where they stick the needles for tendonitis in?

yeah KR...the acupunture is recommended highly for many conditions...especially pain management, substance abuse, migraines , etc. Works well with many medical conditions.
Might want to check with the practitioner about some herbs that may help as an anti inflamatory.
I use acupucture about 4 times per year to keep my meridians clear and immune system charged......
It is really an awesome therapy...and one of the oldest forms of medicine in the world..about 5000 years old or so.

it is also warranted in place of traditional anesthesia in many cases during surgery....and of course it is totally non toxic and pain free.
Sometimes my acupuncturist puts on of the needles directly in the crown of my head!!!!!

Guess she figures I need to stimulate my grey matter up there (or lack there of!! lol).

I am so wanting to try this. What's this procedure set you back? About. That is, if you don't mind sharing. Is it covered by a medical plan?

                  I pay 60 bucks...lasts 30-45 minutes. Very relaxing bro....
I have seen ads by Blue Cross-Blue Shield stating that they pay for it...but I would think you would have to be referred by your GP.

My insurance doesn't pay it. It's $60 for the 1st visit then $50 after that.

been to 2 sessions now, back again on Thursday. it is definitely helping!
He puts about 7 or 8 pins up and down my arm and 2 in the "pain" area which he hooks electrodes to for slight electro-stimulation.
