  • What do you do for a living?

And is a job or a career? Is it what you like to do? Do you hate it?

I'm a project supervisor for a major marketing research firm. Right now I'm managing some major projects for some big banks that are merging. That's all I can say.

It could be a career but I don't see myself doing this for the rest of my life. I kinda like what I do. The people here are beyond awesome, but it's a rather drab office job that doesn't challenge me.

I'd like to own my own business someday. I'm tired of working for someone else and making THEM rich.

I am self employed....own a landscaping business to be exact. Started it in 1991 as a Junior in college at East Carolina University.

Jay W...bro I gotta say...I used to think I was making the bossman rich too...but you would not believe the expenses in running a business. I pay roughly 40% of my income in taxes...and let me tell ya about working some hours....at least in the first 10 years, bro it was tough. 100 hour work weeks were the norm...and that is no BS, honest to God.
I have things running pretty smooth, but man when you are the bottom line...it ain't easy. And 80% of businesses fail within the first 2 years.
There is alot more to running a business than meets the eye in most cases.
Actually I started my business as a means to get through college...and hey, it took off!!!
If ya got aspirations of making it on your own, by all means go for it! But it isn't easy....lots of sacrifice.

I sometimes get the urge to go to med school....one in the Caribbean would be SWEET!! But it would be crazy to get outta my business now.
I am sure I will open a clinic one day, hire an MD that is trained in holistic medicine. I wouldn't do that for the money per se, just something to hopefully help some people.
I do plan on writing a book on immune function and medical techniques....hope to have that ready in 2-3 years. Got lots of research to do yet though...lots of it.

Anyone can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right

and in the right way, that is not easy.
