    It's going around all over
people in my office have been missing work
I've been lucky so far, unlike last year when I caught EVERYTHING
LOTS of water is the only thing I can preach here, with the occasional Gatorade thrown in

Sweaty, go over to Lakeland to the Robinson Clinic (863)646-5088, and get the UBI treatment. You'll feel better by tomorrow.

Oh no! too much info for me. Take some Imodium AD and then drive as fast as you can.

LOL...damn man, that sounds like no fun..

As for help, you just have to ride it out....keep your fluid intake high so you don't get dehydrated. Avoid dairy. Try some Pepto or Immodium AD to slow your movements. Most stomach issues are related to food and water borne issues...there are viruses that effect your stomach also...but in lesser cases. Good luck and get some baby wipes...lol.

SS - I wouldn't drink too much water. Sprite, 7-up, or gingerale is great for settling upset stomachs. If you're able to keep liquids down then you may try some gatorade just to get your nutrients back in. If you can't keep anything down then just try to eat broth and/or dry toast or crackers. It sucks being sick. I hope you feel better.

hey Sweat Machine, I know of two, but I first suggest going to the doctors, but who the hel* likes sitting around wasting their time doing that, so here are three--1. Simple--get plenty of sleep, rst, and water. Take gravol if you are feeling sick and dizzy. Don't eat any fat foods, dairy foods, and spicy foods. If continues more than 5 days--see a doctor.
                2. Ginger: available powdered, dried whole root, tablets and capsules (also gingerale) One person told me, their personal favorite way to use ginger is "crystalized" ginger. They chew a small piece when they feel a stomach virus may be setting up for housekeeping.
3.take vitamin c, 500 m.g, every 15min for 2 and a half hours, this is a water soluble vitamin so its just about impossible to overdose, take that, and then you don't need to do anything else. overnight, the vitamin C will kill the virus, and the next day you should feel back to normal!! (Some may suggest against this) its up to you, i'm no doctor, I only like to play one-hee, hee, let me know if you try any and how they work. Thanks ironwillprincess!!

Kid's Pedia Popcicles will help to get the electrolytes in in a bareable way. Once you can handle it, don't forget the yogurt with live cultures to get the intestines functioning properly again. Take care of yourself, Sweat!

Well, sounds like you got some great advise. I don't think you would want mine anyway. Im a non practicing nurse, but when I get the stomach stuff I want a hot coke and crackers other than that I starve till it's gone. So the best I can say is that I hope you get to feeling better soon.

We self-medicate due to lack of medical facilities. I take 500mg ciprofloxacin in the morning and 500mg in the evening for 5 days. Usually better after 1 or 2 days...

I AM NOT A DOCTOR .....THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE - just sharing what I do when the old pipes get watery...hope you feel better no matter what treatment you use...nothing like crab walking across the living room hoping you make it before the eruption....
