I got my tattoos knowing that I might have to cover them up. When I worked in the ED it wasn't required to cover them. It is a little stricter in the ICU and I either where a long sleeve t shirt under my scrubs or more often this custom Under Armour type zip up that we got for the unit in the hospital colors.
