  • Basal Metabolic Rate

My Doctor uses the Tanita Analyzer SC-3315 scale. I get a print out when I go for my blood work. On the results page it states that my Basel Metabolic Rate Score is 2112kcal. Does that mean for me to lose weight I should cut 300 to 500 calories a day from that score? If I cut 500 calories I would be in the 1600 calorie range. My Daily Calorie Intake rating was 4435 kcal.

    Thanks for any advice.

My stats are 56 years old, 5' 9",17% body fat, Weighed 194.8, Waist 34 1/2". I am on TRT.

That's for if you lay in bed all day

Yeah that's just if you lay down all day long and do nothing. You could eat more than those calories, lift and do cardio and lose weight. Which, is much more preferred over simply just not eating as much food.
