  • Natural Shows what is you take on them?

Do you think that the guys are all clean? I know for a fact that many are using expecially in the WNSO.

If you did compete in one of these shows would you use anyones because you know for a fact that most of the other competetors are?

Clean does not exist even in natural shows. Hypocrisy does tho.

Also, if those are natural, are we, somehow...unnatural?? :showoff:

This is my delema regarding this. My training partner who insists that he has never used. (I am not one to judge But.....) has convinced me to step on stage. I have been clean for 2 months. The show is in mid July and is a natural show. (What ever that means)

Now I went to this show last year and know a few of the guys competing and know that they use. So what do you suggest I do?

Natural guys will still use, whatever they say to convince themselves they don't. It's all a wordplay designed to fool their conscience into acquiescence anyway. They just like to point fingers. I suggest you make do with the morality problems of a natural show and just compete on an even field. That way, you can concentrate on coming in at your best instead of trying to come in as an equal.

So you saying to use? I agree. I just don't and never will understand why people can't just admit it. Hell I have no shame. The fact is what is natural. If I take creatine is that natural. Is the guys that spends $2000 on a personal guru trainer natural? How far does this go?

I was going to run prop, fina and winny if I decided to run anything and then work on stopping just intime in case I am one that they test.

I am saying do something that does not conflict with your moral interests. You don't need that hanging over your head. Natural shows are more about self-deceit rather than anything. Oh I am sure that some competitors really are natural; it's the hypocrites that sully everything for everyone else. They make fools out of the guys that really don't juice, monsters out of the guys that do and liars out of themselves. I'd rather not be around people like that; I have a hair-trigger temper with people who come around with that holier-than-thou attitude.

Be at peace with yourself, and hurt no one in any way. Compete in a show where you feel good about competing. This is the road to inner harmony.

I have the utmost respect for a truly natural competitor. However, they are so few and far between these days that you can just never tell who is and who isn't.

I say this to anyone that wants to compete in a natural show but is not natural:

I would rather be beaten by a bunch of badasses than to beat a bunch of nobodies.

It isn't about WINNING as much as it is seeing where you match up with guys on the same plane as yourself.

It's not ethical to make someone's decision for them IMO, which is why I haven't told Shredz outright what I think he should do. I will just give them the tools to think about it so that they can make up their own mind. That way, it will be their decision based on what they think, without any external bias (or with as little as possible on my part, at least).

There are few shows where all of the competitors actually have abided by the rules of the organization defining "natural." I've seen it personally and read here on the net where guys have admitted to cheating (w/o apparent reason to lie). Its easy to find several different ways ot beating the polygraph (and even a urinalysis).

IMHO, the integrity of the contest is lost when not all competitors are playing the same game. It would be like having a handball competition, where some players use a ping-pong paddle, others a raquetball raquet and others a tennis raquet. There is no contest b/c the competitors are not playing the same game.

This is not to say that BBing competitions are all about competing - there are AMAZING rewards that can be had from competing as a true natty and doing your best. Its not all about comparing yourself to others - its about comparing yourself to yourself for some people. I think those rewards would be less for a proscribed (not allowed) drug user in a natty show, however.

If your intent is to compete, coming into a natty show as someone who has taken prohibited substances is like being a boxer who has a lead-lined glove. You have a distinct, and unfair (given the rules of the game) advantage.

If (again this is my opinion only) you enter the show b/c its one close to you or for whatever reason, and are not natty according to the organization, but STILL only really enter to compete against yourself, you have STILL done something unjust (in my opinion): you have polluted the contest for the other competitors, b/c the other competitors no longer have a true contest (one w/o cheaters) in which to play and compete against one another. The meaning of this is deeper, but in a superficial sense, this is like a guy who just keeps on disrupting play in a field or floor sport by taking cheap shots during the game. It just ruins it for everyone. From some of their viewpoints (those who really compete for the rewards of the titles and placings), you might as well have torn down a goal - the game no longer exists when you cheat.
