Anybody seen it yet? We went today and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I'm a sucker for the fast-moving, population decimating zombies, myself.

I am seeing this tomorrow afternoon. Not that I care to see it - My wife wants to see this thing. I am not a zombie watcher type person nor am I into the vampire stuff either. We are seeing it at 2:30pm in Tampa. My intent is for the action since I don't know anything about the storyline. I will let you know what I think about it.

I will admit I did watch, and love, The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger was amazing as Joker. I didn't even watch the OG Superman flicks as a kid. You're perfect, yes it's true. But without me...you're only you.

I saw WWZ this afternoon. WOW!!
I liken it to a dumbed down version of Jurassic Park. There is drama in the movie but there is so much action going on that the drama takes a little back seat but it isn't drowned out at all. What amazed me is I didn't have to wait for a build up. 5 minutes into the film it started going. Like a roller coaster, you have that slow incline but after that minute BOOM it is ON!!
Would I go see it again? Yeah, I would go see it because of the action involved along with the plan devised to combat the zombies. I don't know that I could read the book though. The music fit the movie as well!
If you love lots of actions and even some military stuff you will want to see this. If you want more drama it may not be for you. Drama is there but it fits neatly around the whole story which isn't always an easy thing to do. I am not into zombie stuff or even vampires but I would go see it again.

Man Of Steel was simply epic, and probably my favorite superhero flick not named Dark Knight (and its not far behind)... Which isn't surprising considering Goyer and Nolan are behind it.
Personally, I go the other way. I've always preferred DC to Marvel. Marvel has always come off as whiny to me. But, Marvel nails the major movies.
(Movies like Spiderman 3, Ghost Rider 2, and Punisher: Warzone... Those need to be killed with fire)The harder I work the luckier I get...
...Just lucky that way, I guess.

The only thing in common WWZ has with the book is...the title. Nothing else is similar.
As a stand alone Zombie/Apocalypse movie its pretty good.
But I advise everybody to read the book as it is brilliant.
Shawn of the dead is also an excellent zombie film (albeit a comedy) as is Zombieland. Favourite serious zombie flick = Night of the living dead
