Amway?

Has anyone heard, or participated in becoming a distributor, etc for this company? It seems to be almost pyramid-esque. I was approached about doing this, but i am a skeptic to say the least.

I was approached back in college about doing quixtar - an amway branch off... Went to a few of their meetings, and they are very persuasive.

The big problem is how many friends you are going to lose by being in MLM, and how much everyone will hate you. Also, you'll have to put a good 40 hours a week into the amway to even make 1/2 the money you would make putting your focus into an actual career.

Think about all those people pushing body by vi on facebook, and every time you see one of their facebook posts how much you hate them...

Lol...thanks guys. I have never heard of it. It reminded me of the Advocare pyramid thing. No way I will be doing this. I hate people pushing this type of shit. Don't want to be one of them...but can I make you rich? Who is interested in signing up to a part of Amway???....lol.

My family is all in it. For like 20 + years. They make good money from it. But like I said they have done it for awhile.

I think Herbalife is the same thing, too. I know a guy that is doing well in it but I still say that you have to get in real early and work your ass off much like you would have to for a job, as was already stated. For ME, it seems to be too much of a gamble. There are probably only about 5 MLMs that have really stood the test of time with Amway being the big dog, I think. I think the company is reputable but I would consider it far too late to get in, if it were me.

Body By Vii is a fucking joke. I know some good people that are in it and they are supposedly doing well (not as good as they "sell" you on doing but good) but I don't know if it will last. In fact, I can see Body By Vii going south in a year or so. Hell, it uses the old, recycled PR that Weight Watchers use to use (shake for bfast, shake for lunch and a regular dinner). You can't go forever drinking shakes for meals. It won't last.

This is a guy whom I used to see at the gym, and saw me working off-duty the other night and approached me....He gave me the energy drink thing they promote and some multi-vitamin (which i put in the garbage). Not my cup of tea as far as ways to make money.

I eventually want to have my own business, but a real business, not something like this.

I don't know about Amway, Herbalife..all I know is after drinking Syntha 6 for years I was fat and bloated. My body does not do well on the "drink 200 grams of protein a day" maybe u guys can do that but all it didi to me was make me fat. After 13 months of drinking ViSalus by adding it in plus my my meals for the day Im in way way better shape, leaner, sleep better etc.. Not to mention I've made $44,000 this year, earned a BMW payment in 40 days by helping ppl lose weight and get healthy.
