That goes to show that in all walks of life, people share very similar problems....He and Andy's other son both had well publicised (sp) drug problems. It's a shame. No cause of death has been released as of yet that I know of, but at 29 years old, to just drop dead, I would say drugs were involved or he had major damage to his heart or whatever from previous use. What a shame....

On another note, a close friend of ours just buried their 21 year old nephew here in town due to a drug overdose. He had some issues he was dealing with (I guess he wasn't dealing with them that well), and overdosed when we were at the shore 2 Saturdays ago. Very bad scene at the viewing. Very sad to see people you are close to go thru so much pain....

Sad. Saw it a couple days ago. Looks just like his father.
Not an Eagles fan, but I've always respected Andy and my heart goes out to him. Hopefully media coverage will not become invasive, as it seems to have been respectful so far.

I don't think most are surprised. I just think that alot of people were under the impression that he was in the process of turning his life around. Like I said, I don't think a cause of death has been released, but speculation would be that he was messing up again. If it was something with his health otherwise, I'm sure they will release it....

That's also kind of what I was eluding to in my first post, how drugs affect all walks of life. Here are some kids who have never wanted for anything, and they are as messed up as anyone else....Could it be the entitlement? Sure, but I know plenty of well to do kids who are on the straight and narrow....It's just one of those things in that you try to instill in your kids your values and what not and hope they are strong enough to resist the temptations that come to them throughout life....I know I've talked to my kids ALOT about drugs and alcohol, but in the end it comes down to THEM making the decision, as you can't do it for them. You just try to steer them in the right direction and HOPE that they value what you've said to them thru the years.....

I don't know man. It's a horrible thing I just keep remembering the judge from his 07 case and how he called the home a "drug emporium" and said it was a family in crisis. It's sad as hell but not surprising.

Yeah, I remember the judge saying that as well. They are very lucky that they had prescriptions for all their shit. I think if you have that type of meds in the house on a consistent basis it should be under lock and key....
