I loved the "bewteen teh covers " thread so much that I thought I would ask others what sort of music you all are listening to. I think that Music is essential to my life and to who I am . I listen to it constantly , I will listen to anything that is welll made. Right now Tesla is in teh background. On the 15th I will be working as an assistant to a friend of mine who is the Ex. Producer for teh Linkin Park show here in Brazil. Week after that its 50 Cent. I will be suer to have some pictures taken if I can when I meet the bands And I wil post them. I have been working out lately to Yellowcard and Jet , Nicckleback and Puddle of Mudd.

BYW an awesome site to download Music is www.winmx.com

Wow is Tesla still a band? I remember their rock ballad "Love will find a way" Oh, I used to sing that at the top of my lungs when it was popular.

I have my phases. For a very long time it was classic rock... honestly, that's what I like the most. I can never get tired of Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynrd, Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, STYX... the list goes on and on. Right now I'm on a country phase, been on it for a while. I've got my new Dierks Bently CD and I love every single song on it. oooh, and Gretchen Wilson... I'm Here for the Party... my theme song, oh yeah and Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy, by Big & Rich. That song cracks me up everytime I hear it.

Oh, my hubby is a big Jazz fan. He boasts about getting to play with the Rippingtons in college. Love Herbie Mann. We've been looking for a CD of his forever, Jazil Brazz... Can't find it anywhere.

Well, of course me being younger, I have to have my hand in a little alternative stuff, but ya'll may like it.

I have been introduced, lately, to The Mountain Goats (very peaceful and calming) and The Murder City Devils (for some reason I just get a swing/rock mixture feeling from these guys).

Bands that I have loved and always will loved are mostly upbeat bands, such as Sublime and Against Me!. Check both these groups out, as you won't be dissapointed.

I of course like the dance feel of rap, and it is good music to drive to, but it can get mentally irritating after a while.

I am also a big fan of Southern Folk music, much like some of the O Brother, Where Art Thou songs, and of course I also enjoy Mo Town.

Ah, another wondeful thread. As for myself, I am a fan of almost any kind of music: opera, country, blues, oldies, pop, etc etc BUT I am a confirmed rock fan. Oh yes!! And, for the record, there are some great rock acts out ther but no one, I say NO ONE rocks like ACDC.

AI - I love the Rippingtons. I saw them once in cioncert, it was wonderful.

IM - AC/DC rocks ! Yet my all time fav is VAN HALEN!!!

Boof- thanks for the cool leads. I love the line about Rap being mentally irritating , that put into words what I have felt may times. However I love Tu-pac and Snoop.

Heckman do you ever listen to Earl Klugh, very smooth, very cool.

Dead on the money with the AC/DC comment. The greatest of all times! I will never get tired of the Back in Black album...

Van Halen is pretty tough in their own right. I am a rock 'n' roller at heart but I like everything but rap.

                      As for the new stuff-

Puddle of Mud, Alice in Chains, Thornley, Black Label Society, etc are real good.

But I do like the Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, Commodores, ELO,....I could go for days.....lol

When I was in 7th grade we had to play a song on a recorder for English class and repeat the words for the classmates.

Everyone was picking easy listening and tuity fruity music.

I played "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC.

After the song our teacher, an older fellow, looked at me and asked-

"How many drugs do those guys do??"

Shoot to Thrill is my all time fav rock and roll song.

Yes IM^, Angus rips the strings indeed.....

Yeah, he loved that! My hubby was in a jazz band in college, he played the trumpet. The Rippingtons were playing in Houston & came down and did a mini workshop & concert with the guys in my hubby's jazz band. Jeff Kashua & Mark Portman are the real talent in the band. I can't remember his last name, but the bass player, Kim was just awesome. They're all great guys & so down to earth. We went to Houston and saw them play & it was phenomenal. I would love to see them again.

We've looked all over the internet for Jasil Brazz but it's been out of print for a while. The only thing we can find is vinyl & we don't have a turn table so we'd just be staring at it. The closest thing we can find is a DVD, which is ok, but not what we want.

I'm wondering if maybe any BRAZIL JAZZ fans in BRAZIL ... ahem*** Hanuman*** can get their hands on it in BRAZIL... hee hee... just thought I'd throw that out there.
