  • Sleep and my matress

Well I have not been sleeping well for the past year.

My new (6month) mattress isn't cutting it.

Unfortunately j don't have the $$ to get a new one.

Any thought on buying a memory foam pad to place on top?

Seriously, don't laugh now, but sleeping on the floor seems to be the thing in some circles. Folks report miracles, basically. Search it up. I will probably try it soon.

I really like my Tempurpedic mattress, but I am unsure if a pad would be enough. The Tempurpedic seems to work good for me because it has the firmness of being on the ground when you first lay down, but then you slowly sink a little and in conforms to your body. I got the $1700 Queen, which is on the lower end price wise, but from what I've heard it is a waste to spend more. They have financing deals for 0% interest at times as well. If you are going pad see what the stores return policy is and maybe just try it out. Normally, I wouldn't do something like this, but these pads can be a bit pricey as well.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've had my current mattress for about 9 yrs now and if I sleep for too long in it I wake up with my back all knotted up. I need a new one as well but they ain't cheap.

My wife and I have a TempurPedic, but our kids have the Costco memory foam mattresses and honestly there's not much of a difference in comfort. I think the queen cost me $350 or so, and we've been very happy with them.
You're perfect, yes it's true. But without me...you're only you.

Not to hijack, but would your recommendation change for someone who has pretty frequent back tightness upon waking--especially if I sleep/lay in bed too long?

i sold mattresses for 5 years...if you you wake up with a back ach and it goes away later in the day ..you have a bad mattress..if your back always hurts...you have a bad back .. if you cannot afford a new one right now...buy a box spring only...99% of the time your mattress took a shit cus the box failed.
when shopping for a mattress ..regardless of the size you want ...you need the full size of that model to have a minimum of 336 coils...that shows a high coil density ..
A girl walks up to me and says" My God you're good looking!"
                ME " I know"
                Her"WHAT!"
Me " I know I am good looking"
                Her" You're also and asshole"
ME " I know that too!"
