  • New Music Releases

Forgiveness please and apologies if there is a thread for this, I searched but didn't see one...

I thought it might be cool to have a thread on new album/music releases. I don't really listen to the radio much and with iTunes/computers etc, for me at least, it's been hard to stay up-to-date on new releases, especially of heavy metal/hard rock that I like while lifting. So, just thought if there is an interest we could post up albums (regardless of genre really) that come out as well as rate them perhaps.. I am always looking for new music to listen to while lifting...

    A few to start:
This week: Megadeth released Th1rt3en. Not as good as their earlier work, but still pretty cool

Next Week: Disturbed is releasing The Lost Children

Yeah, I have several Disturbed on my weightlifting playlist. The progression they made from The Sickness to Believe is incredible I think. I'm still partial to Believe, but there isn't one that I dislike

I heard the title track as well as telling ghosts, both pretty good, I'll have to check out the rest as well. Thanks DG

Believe was excellent. Came out during my middle school years. Great fucking album. 'Devour' was my favorite track for a long, long time.

Have you heard 'Overburdened' and 'Loading the weapon'?

There's also a band called Overburden.. Pretty cool rhythm, somewhat similar to disturbed as far as sound or more closely maybe 5FDP, but the vocals are a little too much for me at least...

Great stuff. Let's keep this thread going. I'm in precontest mode and always have trouble picking a song for my posing routine.

Doberman, what kind of song are you looking for? Any specific bands in mind?

I'm pretty old school with music. I've used "Learning to Fly". Recently I went with a couple Christian Rock Bands. I can't remember who they were, but they had a couple songs perfect for posing. I think one of the songs was "Becoming the Bull" or something. No offense to anyone else, but I'm just am not into the whole ballad thing. I like heavy metal, but it can be a beast to put a routine to. I may have a professional I know to edit for me, but I'm not sure if we will be able to get our schedules together to collaborate, not to mention the extra cost.

Hmmm maybe some old school led zeppelin, how about immigrant song? Maybe iron man by black Sabbath, might a cliche though...

I've always thought "The Art of Shredding" by Pantera would be cool to pose to. Starts relatively smooth, and has a nice bass/drum buildup. Also, just for me personally, I would prefer to pose to music without lyrics, and that song has no lyrics for the first 1:20ish, plus I like the hidden meaning behind the title as well related to bodybuilding
