Question about UA sizing

I've got a thin waist 32" and my large under armour underwear are falling apart as they're to small around the glutes/quads. Just curious if anyone else has a thin waist and how the XL size fits.(Size chart says 38-40in)

About to order online so just wanted to check (cheaper and free shipping on ua.com right now)
