  • Heard on the news this morning...

That the military wants their howitzers back from the ski resorts, that use them to create avalanches...Is the military running that short of cannons to send over to iraq?...Thought this was kinda strange

I think it is very strange too. I mean how much of a difference will taking away 6 or 10 cannons away from ski resorts impact the war..I also know there is more going on than we will know!
        And yes SS..former jarhead

I am surprised at the lack of information going on around the general public regarding the Iraq war. Does anyone here know that there was a government-imposed sanction on the publication of the casualty lists coming in from Iraq? Does anyone here know that any news, photos, reports, etc. coming in from Iraq are subject to scrutiny and censorship? Does anyone know that a connection between the US companies that have undertaken construction work in Iraq and the Govt has been discovered, amounting to billions of hidden dollars? Does anyone here know that it is the US Govt absolute intention NOT to reveal the true picture of what is going on there? It is all a political propaganda, guys - the less the US public knows, the better it is for the Bush administration. Sound familiar? Sometimes, I think Communism has taken a 180 degree turn...

You are right on point IM. The less our government tells us, the less furious they think we will be. Because of a few "good " sources, they cannot keep everything a big secret! I have some contacts that say Joe public would shit a brick if they new the whole story..hence the cover up..There will always be more going on than meets the eye!
Americans need to wake up and realize that!

Glad to see the post IM....it is looking like Vietnam all over again in some ways.

This war is probably more about government contracts than anything else....just like Vietnam. LBJ got one of his Texas buddies a Billion dollars to dredge one of the bays over there...
