Grits rule Kid! They're a Southern staple...I've added the calorie-free butter flavored salt stuff to them and they're excellent!
Eat it today, wear it tomorrow...

KR they are actually decent for you a lil high glycemic than oats (not that the glycemic index is worth a piss) a lot of guys that dont like oats use them in the am rather than the oats...

I'm from the north so I don't know what the hell they are. All I know is I get them at the waffle house everytime I visit Tennessee.

I tried to order them at Denny's once but the waitress said they were out. Never had any want to try them before or after that day.

I use to eat them alot...a true southern staple....kinda like bagels up North I suppose.

I like adding cheddar cheese and bacon, country ham sometimes to my grits.

                      Damn...now I am hungry!

Hominy grits, or just plain grits, are an institution here in the South, though they can be hard to find in northern states. Hominy is made from flint or dent corn, varieties with hard kernels that are dried on the cob then removed and soaked in a solution of baking soda, lime, or wood ash.

there is nothing better than grits with 3 sunny side up fried eggs and ham
