i generally think politics are a joke. to me the parties are like a football team, and for whatever reason when we are young we learn to like one team or the other. in addition we learn to dislike the other team and those who support the other team, even though when you look closely they are all doing the same thing (and that thing has nothing to do with looking out for the common mans best interests).

i personally gauge politics based on the economy. if you f*** up the economy get out and let the next idiot in. so bush has doubled the federal deficit in four years, the federal debt is through the roof, and inflation will be ridiculous in the next ten years. so personally i think its time for a new jackass.

I didn't read any of the posts other than the first one and I won't read them. I am very interested in politics and love to debate but I won't do it here. I don't want to get into a pissing match with anyone who disagrees with me or the other way around.

I do follow politics and is a topic of interest to me however I rarely (if ever) enage in discussion on the boards...

Unfortunately, politics is going to happen whether you ignore it or not. That's a fact of life on this planet. Although I'm not very active in politics, I do read and listen to political rhetoric. I'm sure everyone remembers Bush's SOTU speech and the part about steroids; and look at the shit storm that started.

I am a Republican by choice. I agree with the Republican ideals, though I must admit, GW has disappointed me big time. But! what alternative do I have. I certainly don't care for Kerry's politics at all. Sometimes I think that most of the Democratic politicians are insane! Especially when they turn their backs on our troops in harms way.

I certainly hope everyone will register and vote this election. That's one great principal our great nation was built on, why men and women fought and died...even now in Iraq.

They are all a bunch of lying a-holes. They pay more attention to other countries than they do to their own. I think they should fixup our country before they fixup others. I understand that it is necessary but they shouldn't be raising our taxes to do it!!!!!!!!

I follow politics very closely. I am also very opinionated. So I think I will stop myself before I go to far. But Let me say this-I like to deal with facts. I hate the way our political machine runs now with all these pronouncements of doom from both sides. I also think Presidents get too much credit and blame for the economy-many times things can take years to change and shift.
