For those of you using karbload, do you also use a pre w/o stim? If so, what combo and timing has worked best. I am thinking of hitting the buzzsaw again about 25 min before lifting and then start sipping the Karbload during warmups. Will one diminish the other?

The BCAA boost doesn't have much stim in it from what I remember. Have you combined the 2?Save yourself 5% on all your TRUENUTRITION orders by using discount code MTM281

1.5s nDure pre
25g Pepto and 10 EAA during in Powerade Zero
I just realized this does not answer your question at all about Karboload lol. However this has been the most successful combination I have used. nDure gets me wired without a crash. I was skeptical hearing about the decrease in soreness and better recovery associated with Pepto but after using it at this high a dose I concur. A noticeable difference. If/when I (Skip) decides to put carbs back during training it will be either Karboload or HBCD's with the same previously listed ingredients. Haven't used HBCD's but the Karboload sits very well in my stomach when training. I just wish there were more flavors.Journal http://www.intensemuscle.com/showthread.php?t=51093Comment

nDure is the shit. That was the main thing I noticed, no crash. I just want to make sure that I am not pissing away money by taking to things that may diminish the results. By results is mean the energy and focus from a stim getting tapered back by the carbs 30 min later.
@Robb - ThanksComment

The high dose of pep to you are referring to is 25g? Is during workout the only time you use it?
Seeing that you work with skip, just curious why you don't use his suggested blend of augment and bcaa? Or if you did why did you change?

Herculeus, he suggested this to me as well, I've used some things with good success and I think as long as skip doesn't see a glaring issue he let's you do it. I personally use 25-50g pepto, 10g of bcaa & eaa, creatine 10g. Sure that looks like overkill but so far great success . Just my opinionComment

I have used Pepto and BCAA's in the past but both at much lower doses. I hate to be a "more is better" guy but in this case it has been for me with no noticeable negatives other than the effect on my wallet. The EAA's were chosen after doing some research and reading some thoughts by Homon and John Meadows.
Intraworkout is the only time I use the Pepto and EAA's. I get 9g BCAA, 7.5 Creatine and 6g Beta Alanine along with the stim/focus effects. This is finished prior to arriving at the gym with the Pepto/EAA's in 1.25L Powerade Zero started when I start to stretch and finished the last sip after the last set.Journal http://www.intensemuscle.com/showthread.php?t=51093Comment

Hm very interesting. And are you seeing great results of reduced muscle soreness once you incorporated the pepto?
Since you seem to know about pepto, what does it do during a workout as you are consuming it (besides the reduced muscle soreness the next day)?
Your blend doesn't look like overkill at all to be honest lol.

Thanks Adam, I will have to check both out. What is it that the EAA does that you seemed to notice?
Exactly what Robb said Herc. And when I spoke to Carl at TN before starting the Pepto I actually inquired about lack of Augment flavors at the time and he said it was being discontinued.

How it reduces soreness I couldn't tell you. I had read peoples experience with that and wasn't sure if it was just a placebo or exaggeration. After trying it at the dose I am using with the EAA's I can say it is definitely noticeable. I am not as sore the next day and DOMS does not last as long. I feel like I am ready to train that bodypart a day or 2 sooner. I don't notice anything in particular during training and what I do notice I attribute to the nDure giving me more mental drive.
This is all on low carbs and no intra-workout carbs. Perhaps the during training feeling would be more pronounced if I was fuller or had carbs surging in with the Pepto.
Or maybe it is just placebo and I am falling for it too
EDIT- I saw you asked about the EAA. I wanted to choose to add in some BCAA's or EAA's to help cover all bases so to say since neither is very expensive. I chose the EAA's based on the readings and recommendations I saw.Journal http://www.intensemuscle.com/showthread.php?t=51093Comment

You pretty much just answered it Lol thanks.
Understood on all parts, thanks for the insight.
What flavor do you like to go with on the pepto? A more fruity flavor?
Hey if it is or isn't placebo at least it's doing something lol.
I am also on very very low carbs as I am cutting with skip. I never understood why people use intra carb workouts..
I know you're asking Robb but I don't get your question about "what does it do"...
