  • Alpine's Nighttime blend

I use a nighttime Protein blend that I ordered from True Protein consisting of :

    50 % micellar casein
    30 % egg albumin
    15 % milk isolate
5 % hydrolyzed caseinate...TPC told me to throw that in.

I wanted to make this a slow digesting pre bedtime shake.
I decided not to include any whey protein in this blend simply because I drink 3- 4 shakes per day containing whey.

that is an awesome blend. i use something similar to this. it is a little pricey but well worth it. this blend should keep you feeding pretty much throughout the night.

TPC- if a guy couldn't afford all the different mixes for pre w/o, post w/p, prebed time, middle of the night, first thing in the morning, what would be the optimal protein mixture for those of us that use one mix for everything?

to keep cost down. a simple mix of wpc and calcium caseinate, will cover your grounds. it will mix well, but will have more of a taste, then a wpi and micellar. this will keep cost under 5.00 per lb. which is tough to beat.

man the hydrolyzed protein just kills me. you are a better man than me to be able to drink that stuff. especially the hydro casein, that stuff is brutal. each sip is like getting kicked by a donkey. maybe i should start using more hydrolyzed protein, so i can be 315, lol.
