Question about DC Training Routine
Hi all, just joined the board (and did my intro in the intro forum), I have a couple of questions about the way the DC training program is set out.
Following the M,W,F,M etc system, you would do Back at the end Monday and then do Biceps on the Wednesday, is that enough time to recover considering your Biceps are used when training Back? Secondly, why do you start Wednesday with you Biceps and do Legs last? I always thought you were meant to do the main compound movements first in your workout (Squat, Stiffs.....then do your arms)..........don't you short change you Biceps this way? I appreciate any answers on this. thanks

i believe with the biceps leg thing, is that squats take so much out of u that you wouldnt have as much energy for biceps
and biceps recover quickly, so wednesday is ok |

Chris is correct, after training legs, IF done correctly, you have nothing left in the tank to do any other body parts. Biceps being a smaller muscle group obviously won't tap into your energy and recovery resources as deeply, so it is not detrimental to do them 1st.
And yes, if you train back Mon, by Wed you should be ok to do Bi's.

To further put your mind at rest let me add since training this way my lagging biceps have finally started taking off. Whether its the extra frequency, or that theyre hit first and thus very intensely, I just dont care. FYI workouts used to be push/pull/leg split with standard bis done last back day, tris last on chest/shoulder.
