Jaime's 2008 Journal...
Better late than never; here I am, back in the game ![]() My current OFF-SEASON stats as of January 27th, 2008 Height: 5'5.25 Weight: 134 (0700 AM; DRY WEIGHT) BodyFat (OMRON): 17.0% (DRY, at 0700; no food/water) 7-sight Pinch: 17.6% BF% OMRON: 17% Jeans/Pants: Size 6/7 Shirt Size: Medium just as a comical comparative reference my last competition stats on stage day were as follows: 5'5.25 Weight: 118 lbs BodyFat: ?? (it was 12.2% OMRON seven days prior) Jeans/Pants: Size 4 ![]() Shirt Size: Small My competetive goals for this year are: One local/state level competition One National Competition I would like to bring a different package to the stage by the following: (Generally) To Gain size in my back width, triceps, hamstrings and biceps and to tighten and define my entire lower body and add some thickness to my abdominal wall to bring my abs out visually a bit more. To come in at 112-115 lbs. on stage day, by loss of bodyfat only... and maintaining all lean mass (don't we all want this )I am really motivated and more than determined to kick some ass this season, here's to making it happen

I love the theory of DC and have written out many different DC protocols, but I really need to work on bringing the size of my quads down and tightening my legs overall, my quads love to grow and soon my legs look like tree trunks; pressing 605 lbs is cool and all, but doesn't make for figure-friendly thighs

January 30th
Unplanned 2nd day off I never take two days off in a row ~ but today was spent all over town trying to find a bolt for the idler pulley for our car, that we need in order to put the belt back on, it flew off on us after the ball bearings seized up and the pulley stopped and we were on our way home from dinner Strangely only 10 feet from the drive way, so at least its here ![]() We have a 6 month old German Shepard, and she is crazy, hyper and very smart and she is needing so much more room than we have; we need to move soon. Diet is 75% good, still struggling with motivation to eat 100% according to plan; When in contest prep mode its easy, stage day is your motivation, but when it seems so far away, it feels so easy to eat whatever you want, whenever it appears in front of you. Anyhow, I am starting my new moderate weight, high-rep/high volume training protocol tomorrow, and staing with it for the next 2 weeks minimum to see what happens ![]() Goodnight

I know...Sunday. I think I am going to do body pump in the am on Monday before our meeting. You in? I hear the problems with eating what's in front of you, it's tough, I feel it too being so far out. Think of it this way, we are about 20 weeks from prep...yike! Do we really want MORE cardio?! EEK! No more cheating for us.

My work out was oddly times, at 1:15 in the afternoon ~ I'm normally a mid morning lifter, it seems to have had a negative impact on my lifting a bit, seemed weaker. *This moderate weight/high rep training is killing me, I so prefer the 6-8 range and heavy weight; but I made a commitment to try this rep scheme for a minimum of 4-6 weeks (I will detail it moreso later) 5 minute warm up on treadmill Bodyweight Tricep Dips (in captains chair)NO assist 1x6 1x6 1x5 1x4 = F ![]() Standing DB Curls, slow negative 20s x 12 20s x 12 20s x 12 20s x 9 (F) Cable Triceps Press-Down w/ V-Bar 65 x 12 65 x 12 65 x 12 65 x 9 Standing Cable EZ Bar Bicep Curls, slow negative 50 x 12 50 x 12 50 x 12 50 x 12 DB Kick backs (yeah, kickbacks ) 20s x 12 20s x 12 20s x 12 StepMill Level 6,7 x 31 minutes BW, FW, lateral, grapevine
