yes, they hit the back in diferent ways. thats like saying "is there a difference between squats and leg presses"

i think 2 things especially change the T bars:
1) is it a T Bar row machine or a bar in the corner or against the wall with a handle? 2) what kind of grip are you using? shoulder width, wide, or palms parallel to each other?
