Progress measurement during longevity cycle

Hey Skip,

first , thanks a lot for the information provided in the longevity series. Really looking forward to your next dvd.

One short question regarding progress measurement through a cycle:
Are you sticking to an exercise selection through your cycle, ramping up the volume and try to beat numbers/weights?

or

Are you switching exercise selection from training to training, ramping up volume and only see weights/numbers as one indicator for progress? If so, how do you measure progress? Only midterm by muscle growth?

Switching exercises or at least the sequence of exercises as much as possible. I only use weight progression as one tool to gauge growth. I am not of the camp that believes strength must increase over time as the only way to grow. Train your ass off, recover and keep the stimulus fresh and as new as possible and you will grow. Growth is best gauged by the mirror and the tape measure.
