Hey Berry, have you been training 6-7 days a week like John gets some of his other clients doing? And am I right in guessing that you quit with the Carb Back Loading strategy? Bulk of carbs in Peri-Workout shake?
Looking good pal.

Yes , I'm on 6 days a week of training at 11 weeks out today. Feeling great. Yes, the majority of my carbs come in the meal before, during and after training.

Protein, fats and veggies at most other meals.

I will say that John has me doing more carbs then I usually do while getting leaner which is great. I absolutely love it. Training is great. Balls to the wall challenging. If anyone is considering working with him I highly recommend it.

Here's the results of my show.
I was 224.5 and made the HW class which I won. I lost the overall by 1 point.

I second Mentals opinion.

Needless to say you enjoyed working with John!

Seeing as you have trained under 2 hypertrophy senseis.... What are your favourite parts of DC and Mountain Dog?
What did you dislike?
I am solely talking of the program themselves..not looking for dirt! Just to make myself clear!

Good question Martin_h.

Not sure what you meant by dirt cause honestly I don't think there is any on either guy. Their reputations and results speak for themselves.

Here's what I have learned from 18 years of playing with the weights etc.: there's really isn't ONE program that is perfect but only one that's perfect for you at that time in your life. I did DC and got great results- especially initially (2-4 years). I made the switch to more volume on my own and continued to grow. Then I enlisted the help of John and his methods and my results skyrocketed again. Overall, I think my body likes higher volume but I have no doubt that if I went back to DC for 12 weeks I would make progress doing that too. I think in the end it's really just effort put in-both the weight room, kitchen and lifestyle.

DC- I like Dante's no bs, cut all the crap out approach to both diet and training

MOUNTAINDOG- I appreciate johns constant quest to try new things while also sticking to his base of knowing what works.

A few more shots:

I didnt want my question misconstrued by anybody reading your log. As in, someone thinking I am looking for you to just bad mouth bits of both programs...I knew you wouldnt, but as we know, people dont often see somebody elses point too well on the internet.

Success leaves clues. They are both succesful and you have been lucky to have both and had amazing results with both!
I also like to listen to more succesful people than me and get their advice
