Thought I'd throw up a few pictures from this past Saturday's (8/23/14) contest. This was an interesting prep for me to say the least. I started out about 18 weeks from the show in much better shape and size than the last 3 shows I did. I was able to put on some good size, bring up my back to an almost respectable level and keep my body fat in a much better starting place.
About at the 9 week out mark the prep coach I was using had some personal things pop up in his life and I was left too close to quit and way too much money invested as well. I reached out to Skip and He was gracious enough to take me on (a bit behind to be honest due to the personal things my other guy had been dealing with...anyway) and bring me in to this show in pretty darn good shape.
I weighed in at 194, again bigger and leaner than last year so that already was a win for me. I did the Masters 35+ Heavy Weight Class and the Open LHW Class. I placed 4th in both.
I have a few pictures from the hotel Friday night and as soon as the pictures from Rx Muscle or the promoter are on line I'll share those as well. Now it's time to rest a bit, eat a bit and get ready for next year.
If you have the opportunity to work with Skip......DO IT! He was great to work with and very patient with all my questions.
