      Kris-

i havent competed in BBing since 2010 but in the 13 years that i did, i almost always tried to do at 2 shows for every prep. One, once your in shape its easy to hang on for another weekor two and get two opportunities to compete and Two i almost ALWAYS found something to tweak or alter between the first and second that usually ended up in an improvement.

In other words GO FOR IT.

Jason, that was kind of my thought... If I am doing one and have to pay for a card to do one, why not do two? I know by the second show I will striated to the bone, but the first show should be interesting to see what I look like.

I guess it's time to start the cardio...

        Thanks again y'all!!!!

              Kris-

heres the other thing any MANY will disagree with me here but in every other hobby/sport people COMPETE.

              golfers golf
              basketball players play basketball
hell, even fishers compete in tourneys

but for some odd reason BB'ers will train and diet and comepte 2-3 times in a 5-10 year "career". Now granted my opinion is for someone who is not interested in reaching the highest tiers of the sport but for person who competes for the love of the game, versus using it as a financial or professional vehichle. To me a competitive bodybuidler should try to compete at least once a year.....i would try to do 2-3 contests every time i prepped and it made it feel like a season. Most bb'ers get shredded for the day fo the show and the next week they are already halfway back to soft and full. I loved doing a show and being shredded and having 2 more shows in the following 6 weeks. i got almost 2-3 months of walking around jacked and loved every minute of it.....

I do have a decent metabolism and burn quite a bit despite having a desk job, but I think the gold mine is the intensity of my training. It just requires a lot of energy and if I bring down kcals just a tad fat falls off...

I like the way you think It makes sense, if you are going to put all the effort into getting into your best shape, why not enjoy it for little while and show it off a few times?

I'm going to keep this thread updated over the weeks to track progress...

As always guys, the support means a lot to me and has really got me motivated.
