"shitload" trial run

Planning a trial run of my shitload process this weekend. It worked so well last year I figure I should try it again to make sure it still works. Unlike last years trial run I am going to try some water manipulation too, no diuretics. I want to see how dry I can get naturally.
Besides if nothing else it gives me an ecuse to eat some pizza...and fettuccini alfredo....and Ho-Ho's.......and brownies.....and........

I may for the real show but not for the trial run for 2 reasons, 1 to see how close I can get without and 2 to reduce the rebound effect you get afterward

Last year, 2-3 gallons water a day Monday – Thursday, Friday was 1 gallon. I cut water at 8pm Friday, used ½ diazide then, and another ½ Saturday afternoon to stay tight for the night show, no aldactone. I had maybe 4oz sipping Saturday morning, and a full carbo-force (16oz ?) with a packet of salt about 15-20 minutes before going out for pre-judge. And a ½ crbo-force before going on stage at night show as I was feeling flat. This worked very well, as I took the overall. Prior shows I was flat and have determined it was from too little water, typically cutting Friday morn and not sipping at all.

This year I am forced to operate differently as weigh-ins are Friday @ 5pm instead of Saturday morning, being close to the weight limit for middles I am going to have to cut water earlier for weight concerns. Starting Monday-Thurs 2-3 gallons water again, with 25mg aldactone late morning and early evening M-F. NOW, timing hinges upon my weight Friday morning. Depending how far over the class limit I will plan to cut water at 12 noon, and IF needed, ½ diazide. Once I’ve made weight I will continue to sip 1-2 oz every hour. Saturday’s routine will be the same as last year, slight sipping as needed and a carbo-force before going out.

Sounds good, man. I'd be sure to note your bodyweight along the way, especially on Fri morning and when you drop water at noon. It sounds like it's gonna be close, so it will nice to know on Thurs and when you wake up on Friday that you WILL make weight b/c your bodyweight is exactly where it needs to be (or below). Plus, of course, if you're over, you will still have time to make changes.

I had the same problem at my last show and Knew that I could weight as much as 204 at 12 noon and still make 198 (on the nose) for a 5PM weigh-in. It was quite nice to have that knowledge.

exactly. I'm bringing my own scale along so when we have preliminary weigh-in friday morning I can calibrate my scale to keep track every hour when back at the hotel room. And I had another idea tonight, taking it 1 step further, once I reach my weight, I will piss into a measured jug so I can only drink that amount or less through-out friday until official weigh-ins are done.

I am master of earth, wind, fire and, of course, water. LOL And Kid, yes, that's a good idea to measure your urinary output. I've done that as well on show day to hold my condition from PJ to night.

I've outlined my water loss regimen elsewhere. I think its in an "article" over at professional muscle in a thread entitled "water loss w/o drugs"

Redrocks used the same procedure and dropped 17 lb from Friday 5PM by 8AM or so the next morning. (She was around 130 for the show.) No drugs.

Basically I drink massive amounts of water and then cut it off abruptly, maintaining diuresis with caffeine, herbal diuretics, multi and B-vitamins and a couple little secrets (not pharm. diuretics, though). KR, you know one of 'em.

For the last show (I'd have to go look for the exact numbers), I think I drank like 12L of water Thurs, another Liter in the night and then 4L Fri AM, finishing at noon. Pissed like a Russian racehorse that whole time, including from noon until 5PM (and beyond) and weighed in at 198. Kept pissing during the night, too, but I also carbed up a bit more and took in a bit more water (1L or so, I think).

I had to practice this regime (in diff. variations) 4 times before I got it right. Worked well though.

17 lbs??? in water-- in 24 hrs?????

wow

back in the day I did a soduim/potassium load , measuring piss was essential for that...you talk about nasty! the last day of the soduin load , I was drinking almost brine...

and guess what salt water makes you do....yea---- puke!

I like the modern water manipulation techniques MUCH better!

KR- Im sure you'll nail it. youve been very attentive to the details, I like that,

I actually lost the 17 lbs in like 13 hours...we did a practice, of course, 3 weeks out. I weighed once I finished drinking my 4 gallons of water on Friday night at 6 and was 145. By the next morning I was 128! The first time around I was feeling bloated by mid-day and totally water-logged by the time I finished...I was part of a group effort to crank something out at work that night and folks were amazingly tolerant of my leaving to pee every 20 minutes...but I peed all night long and was dry by 10, no doubts...at my show I didn't step on stage until around noon, and I was hurtin' pretty bad-this was the first time that I couldn't stifle the hunger with water, but it worked really well! I had Randy by my side for the real thing, too, and he kept my feet up and I kept taking the pills...I lost my pill-case after the morning show and thought that it was the end of the world-but, unlike with the chicken, we had backups!
Post some pics if you can KR!

I know my boy had problems keeping his condition for the night show at the nationals last year. with them having it on sat and the pre judging being on friday.

another thing he has problems with is getting his weight down. he just needs to be 200 come a week out but right now he is 245 and harder than most guys every will be. shit is crazy.

last year it was hell trying to get him to make weight. it took him 4 tryes to make it then he was 1lbs off and they just gave it to him.
