I might be grilled for this question, but I'll take it.

Is there not another quads strecth?

I have allways thought this was the strech after I did see this pic on another side.

Very true, I feel like crying about 30 seconds in. I'm numb around a minute and I'm working my way towards the 90 secs.

funny thing is the quad stretch is the hardest one for me feel so i go with the one leg at a time.
I get in a squat rack, pull once foot behind me and put it on the parallel bars and squat down till i feel the burn.

i was cruising thorugh the thread and with the pics of inhuman doing the stretch where his back was paralell to the ground i thought it was a flat bench with a toewl on it util i looked at it again.....but yeah these pics are a godsend, even if i dont lift DC style il still do fascia stretching( same way as in this thread)

if that alternative stretch stretches your quads better than the one DC uses then I see no reason why you shouldn't use it.

in the picture below which I found is another alternitive quad stretch, this is excactly how I stretch my quads since I don't get a brutal stretch from the usual stretch.

push your hip forward and then pull your ankle,..... pushing your hip forward will not only make the stretch more brutal but also take the pressure off your kneecap, it can be good to have something soft under your knee.

Well when I went to buy neoprene sleeves for my elbow even the x-large would not fit over my forearm, so I used the small knee sleeves and they fit tight, but not to tight:

LOL, u had to use knee sleeves, something like that would make my day.

when i was at work one day(kroger) i was on break and they have a blood pressure machine and i really couldnt fit my arm in the little cuff and the sticker on it said "not designed for very large arms" i was a happy camper, even though my arms arent that big....around 16.5(little lower)

that is fine. the object is to stretch the hell out of the muscle group. i use one just a little bit different than the one you posted (i get an incline bench, put it on a low 20-30 degree incline, put one foot up on the high end of the bench kind of like that guy is doing and hold on to the bench behind me with my hands. then i sink my hips down and lean back. by far it stretches me the best, but i have to stretch 1 leg at a time because i used to lay back in double quad stretches for several minutes at a time on a regular basis, so i'm pretty flexible).

The DC quad stretch never used to hurt me or feel like it was stretching at all, I could go all the way back and just about touch my head to my heels, but that was before my legs got bigger, now it hurts like nothing else trying to reach that range of motion.

Good luck holding that position for any amount of time after a heavy 4-6 rep squat and a killer widowmaker.
