Sweet jesus future, your an animal. Those squats were insane both weight wise and the form was so perfect! damn!

Its cool seeing the pro's doing there thing. But when you have guys like future and In-Human who post on the board and we know more about their daily training etc... i find that waaay more impressive.

Next clip i want to see Ted aka In-Human breaking some machines!!!

One of the many problems with our sport, inconsistency...

But not knowing what his issues were previously. It would be nice that the rules in some feds were enforced but again competitive powerlifting is a joke anymore.

Yup...

Future,
That is very true... The sport has been tainted for yrs... Would you ever compete again???

I see Eddy Coan, is one of your favorites, Gene Bell is one of mine along with Lamar Gant and Steve Goggins...
Back when I was stationed in Europe '89-'95... I had the pleasure of meeting Gene, while he was stationed at Soesterburg, AB NL, we kept in touch for a while when I left for Panama... Also had the pleasure of meeting Sean Scully and Ed Coan... Major Scully (at the time) was stationed in England... He coached the IPF's mens team for many yrs...
Learned alot from them...

I my powerlifting was over before it started. I was a gym rat that as I started to get competitive was brought back to Earth. No, even if I ever am healthy enough to push myself to the limits I was even close to I would never consider competitive powerlifting. It means nothing. I might as well have a meet in my garage and call it a nationals or world meet. Powerlifting is pathetic now. There are so many great athletes that deserve better but a few people will literally try to make a few bucks to keep the sport from being something more. IT COULD be an OL sport but NEVER EVER at this rate. IF it was an OL sport the acceptance and unification of the sport would be so much better.

You're right...

Absolutly right...
It's a shame because back then I used to have so much fun competing...
Made so many friends and contacts, plus learned so much...
Have you ever noticed that no matter how long you stay away fom the sport, when evr I see someone in the gym with that so called big bench or over at the rack w/about 5plates and doing squirts(not squats) I just have to laugh...

No it did not kill him. Actually he lifted a few minutes later. His name is Steve Wong the second greatest drug free bencher in the world IMHO (853 single ply rage x). And P.S. he does noy use a thumbless grip

Thanks for the clip...

I'm new to this site, i'm still trying to figure out how to get around. Anyway thanks for that clip of tom platz, its inspiring. i read about this site in "muscular development". I always heard david henry talk about how dc training is helping him improve his physique. I asked everyone i talk to about dc training and no one knows what it is. can you shed some light on this subject?

This was an all raw powerlifting meet. no knee wraps, just a belt. just u against the weight. i faired pretty well considering i am all beat up right now. my collar bone is misaglined and giving me all kinds of trouble, and my bicep feels like its on the verge of being torn. painful to lightly stretch it even. But i did ok, i won the Middle weight division which was 181 -220lbs. i weighed in at 210.

http://media.putfile.com/Sam-Byrd-at-the-NERB

he missed my 650 pull controvrsy tho. i pulled 650, but got the down command before i was done pulling so it got red lighted.

weight:210
sq- 635/670/705
bench- 425miss/425/440miss-- collar bone misaligned
dl- 600/650miss not shown/675miss
1730--well really 1780 total. just short of the 1800 i wanted
