LOL What the hell is he saying he just started doing deads 2-3 years ago. Yeah ok. Cool watching him lift but he made very little sense talking. "I use 5 reps I can maximize the weight that I use and the weight that I move."

Goggins has NOT retired! He wont retire as long as he still dominates. All the current 220 lifters are moving on up to 242 including Mash and i think he wants to hand another generation of lifters their ass!

If Mash doesnt move up, i think i have him talked into dropping to 220 to meet him! That would be sick!!

I spoke to see Steve at the APF Seniors and asked him how retirement was and he just started laughing. I didn't think he was giving it up.

Hey guys, first post here since I was told about this site by Mike on a different forum where I go by fooshound (which is outdated nickname). Anyway the lifter is Steve Wong and that was his second attempt at WABDL Worlds in Las Vegas last year with 832lbs. He got it on his third attempt and I agree that that false grip can be dangerous but that isn't the real bad stomach turning one. For that see Mike Brown the teenage phenom when he breaks his arm with a 760 (or something like that) attempt. That will turn your stomach into knots.

Just wanted to clear up the vid of Steve for you guys. I talked to him at a meet here in Dallas and he said it didn't even really hurt that bad but it scared the shit outta him! I told him it scared the shit outta me and I wasn't UNDER the weight!!! LOL. Great guy, lifts in a single ply Titan F6.
