Not going into the carb loading the days up to
What do you take with you to eat the day OF the competition?
To keep energy up and still not spill over.

First, I wouldn't be worried about spilling over on the day of the show. I would be more concerned watching my fluid intake (minimal) and eating the kinds of food that will make you full and vascular.

I'd suggest having a meal like ...
- Steak and Eggs first thing in the morning
- Then perhaps a yam or two
- Then I might have Rice Cakes (cinammon apple ) with natural PB and grape jelly in the last hour or so (before you step on stage). Other people go for more simple carbs and even candy.

Better wait for the more experienced to chime in on my suggestions though...

well for me, the last show i did i ate a blueberry muffin first thing after waking up and a slice of pizza. then went to weigh in and after went straight to IHOP and had an omelette with ham and greens... 3 pancakes with honey and 4oz of water with a water pill...

during prej had bananas and few bites from granola... also had a couple potato chips to help with the cramping i was going thru..

the nite show, same... added more salty foods as i was already dry as can be... it worked for me...

On Friday night, I mix up a batch of equal portions of raw rolled oats, natural peanut butter, and honey. I eat on that all morning on saturday. Also, I make some concentrated Gatorade from powder and freeze a few little cubes. Sucking on one helps immensely if I feel fatigued or crampy

No carb up at all?

Id say next to no carbs the morning of pre judgeing then . the best that will come of it is you'll look better for the night show, but that may be too late-- the worst you could bloat up and have some distention...been there-done that

1hr before-- snickers, pop tarts, wine

Just watch your water intake! Pound down the water the last 4 days only cutting it back friday.

THIS IS ACTUALLY BEST ANSWSERED BY SKIP, RANDY, WYLDE OR KIDROK

i wouldnt worry about the sodium found in ur chicken breasts... if u cut out all ur other sodium and take ur water pills correctly the days leading up to the show u should be fine..

and yes, pound down the water the last week, cutting it friday whenever u feel is time to..

I disagree. If you have chicken breast that has a sodium solution in it to keep it tasty (as alot of them do) it is suicide for your condition. If you are referring to the normal sodium content of chicken at around 70mg or so per serving, no big deal. Big difference between the two, though. If I remember correctly the solution was something like 300mg per serving.

The frozen, bagged, or boxed chicken has a sodium solution injected. You need fresh chicken breast from the meat counter.
