There just went all of the little respect I had for V. I have seen his pics on other boards and I was very impressed. But it doesn't matter how much muscle you have or how good you look, you can still be a cocky asshole. And yes, you appear to be a cocky asshole. Maybe your maturity will grow into your body, nah, I doubt it........

Oh and if everyone can't tell, I didn't have a good day at work today!

God re-reading this post really makes me laugh on how someone can be such an asshole. Thanks for all the replies and I look forward to competing again!

LMAO!
If you have ever dieted down for a contest you'd know that water weight is a lot of the weight loss. I started my diet around 228-230 and weighed in at 176 1/4lbs. By the time of the night show I was 185 just from fluid alone. Settle down Rocky........lol!

Different strokes for different folks! I very much believe in bulking up in the offseason for two reasons; 1-I can train w/ a lot more energy and my joints/ligaments don't get as sore w/ the water and 2- gives my mind a little "breather" so to speak. Now don't get me wrong, I don't eat shit food by any means. I eat in bigger quantities than if I were preparing for a competition....along w/ 2-3 cheat meals in the week. Loading up on 400-500 grams of protein during the day isn't an easy feat man. I have tried other methods but find this best suits me. Have a nice day Rocky, Rocky III, or whatever you go by these days!

Kind of funny you admitting to me as being the infamous "Rocky" via PM. You're right, bulking up is useless and gets you nowhere. I guess training heavy doesn't work either?

1-As I said, different strokes, different folks.

2-Out of who you just mentioned Darrem has been the only winner....and one show(maybe 2)

3-Ronnie, Jay, Ruhl, Dorian, Priest, James..etc etc etc

4-end of story!

I believe in staying relatively lean in the offseason, as well. HOWEVER, most guys who are lean in the offseason are lean because of their blessed metabolisms - NOT because they eat rediculously clean and do cardio to keep the bodyfat under control. So, unless you are genetically gifted and/or know your body so well that you can grow at a good clip while staying lean with your diet, most guys opt for the added bodyweight in the offseason to ensure that they are growing. I know I was married to my bodybuilding progress and I ate for YEARS exactly what I was supposed to and when I was supposed to. Thing is, not everyone has such a boring life as I do. I didn't drink for over a couple years. I didn't even like to go out because I might miss a meal or have to piss every 20 minutes or shit every couple hours. The added weight in the offseason due to added caloric intake allows guys to progress in adding size without being married to the lifestyle and still able to have fun and be a bit normal.

For what it's worth, though, I never liked the bulked up, water logged, round face look and I am loving that I am getting rid of that very thing right now after getting out of competing. I HATED it. I am married and I can only imagine how that must suck to be bloated and round faced and trying to get some fine ass. lol
