critique please

wake up at 9:45. 8:45 on off days to do cardio

i remember dante saying not to ask him about diets, i am not positve if that goes for this section too. if its not cool, just let me know... i am not sure if this is allowed in this section. i am under the impression that this forum is not exclusivley dc.

11:00
meal 1-8 ounce sandwich (8 ounces of turkey combined with beef) between 2 pieces of bread. rice-portion depends whether or not i am lifting that day

2:30
meal 2-1.75 scoops whey with slightly over 3 cups skim milk

5:30
meal 3-8-10 ounces of meat, what ever dining hall has. spaghetti, portion depends on if i am working out. i kind of go by feel. if i dont workout very small portion of pasta and veggies

workout days, i go 7:30-8:30 depends on crowd

8:30-9:00
meal 4-same shake as meal 2

10:00 or so-nuts

11:15-11:30
same as meal 1

also , eat veggies at the 5:30 meal whenever they are provided by the dining hall

comes out to 322 grams of protein a day. carbs i dont count.

i am 5'9 and have no idea what i way. i have not stepped on a scale in about 2 months. probably 200-210.

Looks good. I would add some cashews or almonds as well

2:30
meal 2-1.75 scoops whey with slightly over 3 cups skim milk

I know whey is the rage in BBing...and I use to use it also. I do not believe cows milk or it's protiens are meant for animal consumption. I would use egg protien from TPC with stevia as a sweetener. You can search this forum to find the threads that expose dangers with milk and milk protiens such as whey and casien. Milk and its componets seem to have a rather strong link in diabetes, MS, and heart disease. I would use 3 scoops of egg protien blended with ice and or water

5:30
meal 3-8-10 ounces of meat, what ever dining hall has. spaghetti, portion depends on if i am working out. i kind of go by feel. if i dont workout very small portion of pasta and veggies Looks okay even though I am not a big fan of spahgetti on a regular basis, at least pasta. I would try to swap the pasta for more veggies, eat some almonds too

workout days, i go 7:30-8:30 depends on crowd

8:30-9:00
meal 4-same shake as meal 2 Okay...but I would get some carbs in with this shake. Insulin sensitivity is likely high, and will help replentish glycogen

10:00 or so-nutsI would add an apple or grapes...some carbs after your workout will be good

11:15-11:30
same as meal 1 I am not a big fan of carbs before bedtime.....I would just have the meat and some cashews/almonds. As you can see I eat alot of almonds (half pound per day)...excellent source of omegas/fats

also , eat veggies at the 5:30 meal whenever they are provided by the dining hall

I am not a diet guru for BBing or anything else.....but I think with a few slight modifications you are pretty close. I personally like to snack on nuts throughout the day in addition to hard boiled eggs...this may benefit you as well as it will help keep you in positive nitrogen balance. And nothing wrong with getting up in th e middle of the night for a protien shake or a couple of boiled eggs, nuts, etc....hope this helps. I am sure someone here can add to this. Search the health forum for the info on Milk.....scary stuff IMO. Hard to put on muscle when you have MS, diabetes, etc.....

thanks man. that makes me feel pretty good that i am about on the right track. i will look more into the milk issue. and also, the bread that i use for my sandwiches is usually wheat, so i am not getting much carbs at that last meal
thanks again

okay, now I have to go read the article on milk.

IR04, diet looks pretty good, but like SS mentioned, you need to add a few "quality" carbs in the earliers meals.

Iron, If you want a more DC type diet there are alot of guys on here that have been trained by d.c. or IH and are more than willing to help. SUperD helped me alot before I started working with skip. Send them your diet or post it in the bulking lounge and pm them and ask for them to take a look at it. BUT...include much more info about your self, metabolism etc.

I would highly recommend that all first dates happen at Burger King. Order your new girl/guy a Whopper. If he or she refuses feel free to yell, "You are a lame dog killing terrosist!"
