I discovered this thread a long time ago, but just started doing this exercise. The problem I am having is I cant feel the stretch or the muscles working the same on my left shoulder (affected side) as my right shoulder. Ive been to the doctor, had MRIs, both with the injection and not, and I still cant correct the problem. Any advice?

i started doing these last night before I ran and then again this morning before my workout, my shoulders felt good, little sore from the actual movement I assume because I never worked my shoulders like that. Im keeping this a staple before each workout whether cardio or weights. Thanks DC

I would just like to thank you for this. I have a shoulder problem (popping) in my left shoulder, and although its not fixed completely yet, this helps a lot. Also make my shoulder feel much better. Thanks

Yippee

Dante,
Thanks bro for this exercise. I have had a problem with my right rotator cuff for about 5 years. I started this about 2 months ago when I started reading the threads here and man does my shoulder feel 10 times better. Thanks for caring enough to share with everyone.

This is an excellent exercise, and it's done good for me, but didn't completely remove my problems. I discovered what I probably did to injure myself in the first place - in seated military press, I lowered the bar too much and it caused too much stress on the rotator.

Somewhere along the way I discovered this youtube video (just paste this after youtube's address):

and I realized my rotators are really weak and if not handled with care (too wide angle of movement, too heavy weight), hurt and make things worse. So I'm doing this now, along with my usual routine, minus the exercises that have caused me pain.

I'm also getting very much aware of correct and strict form for each exercise, that led me to discover that I've been using shoulder muscles in exercises they weren't supposed to be engaged in, and I've been working toward eliminating that since.

LOL. Started these today. I had to get one of those telescoping paint-roller handles to get wide enough. Barely cleared the top of my head for the first 10 or so but could then move the hands in just a bit. Actually got a pump and barely made the 50. Almost unbelievable but I feel better already. For some reason my forearm tendonitis in the same arm feels a bit better also. Was considering trying a cortisone injection (again) but if today is any indication I won't need that..

Thanks Dante!
