Yes bro, CNS potentiation is exactly why I do it.

You can only really use it if you're doing more than 5 reps per set. Otherwise, it's hard to overshoot the working weight enough without causing fatigue.

If you're doing less than 5 reps per set, I'd recommend the supramaximal hold protocol you mentioned.
