Post-workout Blend
Since converting over to DC style training I'm going through the protein so I may actually finish those 2 10lbs bags of ON I bought. Anyway I'm thinking of getting a post workout blend consisting of:
85% Cold Filtration Isolate 10% Glutamine Peptides 5% BCAA I'll also order a 50/50 blend of malto and dextrose to mix with this. I may drink the protein at others times during the day so I want to keep the carbs separate. Does the protein blend above sound ok or should I up the BCAA? A little help with the math figuring out the grams of protein, glutamine, and bcaa I'd get would be appreciated too. My math skills seem to be failing me all of the sudden. While I'm at it I'll probably order a blend of whey concentrate 75% and MPI 25% for night time and some during the day. That should be enough mpi to be fairly slow absorbing shouldn't it? Thanks |

I think I've decided to make three different blends - Postworkout, daytime, and bedtime
Postworkout - 85% Whey Isolate Ion Exchange, 10% Glutamine Peptides, 5% BCAA - grape flavor Day - 45% WPC, 45% MPI, 10% Egg White - Chocolate Bed - 30% WPC, 25% Calcium Caseinate, 25% Egg White, 20% Micellar Caesin - Strawberry or Vanilla Any opinions on those? I've never created my own blend so I'm not quite certain of the percentages I should use. |

I guess chocolate it is for the night time protein blend as well. I was wanting a little change, but I seem to be getting tired of my current strawberry blend anyway. Thanks for the feedback

I always add the sugars to the post and pre workout blends
I did notice the whey taste was pretty high behind the grape (the grape is very mild) so adding the sugars to the blend may make it taste much better I usually go with a half & half blend 45% isolate 20% dextrose 20%fructose then the rest in glutamine & bcaa's Add aspartame as a sweetener My wife cannot stomach the grape due to the whey/milk flavor in it her suggestion is to add a little sugar free grape jello mix to it to strengthen the grape flavor I know, as I have THE ENTIRE pound of grape, that I bought for her, now.
