Haha, meetings! One thing I don't miss about being back at home!

Its back night tonight, so I'm pumped as hell already. Next to legs, back is definitely my favorite. It might even be a tie with leg night.

Time to get big!

Great thread, SM! I'm pumped and ready to get into the gym.

Good read.

You know what's even more hardcore? All of us folks that will never compete, yet train hard, consistently, do all our cardio, buy, prepare and eat all our food, and will never see a stage, never win a trophy or have people see us pose. Yet our reward is our own discipline, sweat, strain and hard work and we benefit from better built, healthier and longer lasting bodies.

This is the first time that I have seem this. This is truely a great read! I think that this is what life is about. If you don't strive to be the best you never will be the best. You'd be better off packing up and going home. I have printed a copy of the above and will be reading it daily. Great Motivation! Thanks.

What a great thread, this is going to be printed out and pasted everywhere that I visit often. Toilet, supplement stash, bedroom and in to my log book.

Right now I don't think I want to be on the stage or compete in this sport, but I want to be more hardcore then those guys who actually do compete. I want to be the guy in the audience who is bigger then the people on the stage. I just want to be a built mutha, who people stare at when walking down the street.

What does that take, a whole lot of food, every day, every week, every year and a whole lot of busting heavy weight and constant progression. And, my all time favourite, resting like a bear in hibernation.

I'm down and out with the flu right about now, it's getting a lot better but it's not near 100%, you guys don't know how much this is killing me, not being able to hit the gym, having to force pretty much this whole week off. But, in the end, it's going to do more good for me than bad. I'll keep my a.m. cardio, keep my green tea intake and my food intake as per normal, see how I go for a few days and then change things up a bit, if I feel the need.

This post could have not come in the worst or the best time. Worst because I am so hungry to go in and frigging LIFT but best of time because I am going to read this every day I am not at the gym and go in to the gym when I recover and lift so damn hard.

I love this shit!!!!!

Thanks, SM.

very inspirational...here are a few of my own. Little snippets of my life if u will lol

hardcore is finishing ur set of squats after u think u just pulled a muscle in ur gluts, and making sure u go DEEPER on each squat after pulling the muscle

Hardcore is when people ask WHY DO U DO THIS TO URSELF you say CUZ THERES NO COMPETITION LIKE THE LOG BOOK. The Iron Doesnt Lie

Hardcore is spending 140 bucks a week on groceries when ur a university student and have no money

Hardcore is not giving a fuck about the looks u get when ur face is beat red, grunting, eyes looking like they will burst, and a look of death is ridden on my face trying to push that weight up

hardcore is not taking no for answer. The iron must go up

Hardcore is moving more iron then the last working out, and gettin pissed off if u fail, going home and eating a shit load to make sure it doesnt fuckin happen again

hardcore is looking at stretch marks, and saying "theres all my hardwork, right there"

hardcore is my life, and always will be. the older i get the more hardcore i will be

im 19 now, and im just starting my hardcore career out compared to alot of u Vets. I WILL join the ranks of the hardcore.
