Scott that machine i saw you post is close but i dont know how those arms swing--they look like they might swing out too far and cause you to roll your chest forward---id have to try it out but it looks kind of close

To be honest with you Jerzey--it doesnt work well on either of those--it will work better on an old school pec deck from the 80's better than those 2 machines

Fuckers, my gym doesn't have a pec deck. They have some free weight fly machine where you are flat on your back. Sumbitch!

Yea if you dont have a machine similiar to that or you have the machines that double as a rear delt exercise---it doesnt do the same thing (trust me others have tried)

So what do you suggest in my case then?

Low cable cross overs? maybe?

awesome post Dante! I'd love to try it because I think I'm in the same boat as the original poster. However, my gym doesn't have anything similar to that machine.

Here's what we have: http://www.magnumfitness.com/templat...Chest&prod=284

that and some fly type machine (only with handles)

You have any tips for those types of machines?

Thanks a bunch for the explanation.. I want to say i have that machine at my gym, but it may be a "bench press" machine i am thinking of that looks almost identical to that.

I know we have one of these. The radius on it is pretty tight compared to the ones posted above, with the handles, and the ones that double as a rear delt movement.

Sitting at work in the desk leaning back in my chair and thinking of the line of force and way the move is done

What if i used the cable cross over at like a #5-6 and put an inclined bench in between the cables and went that way with it?

The cross over machine we have isnt very wide like other gyms use 2 stations bolted together

here is the one
http://gymratz.co.uk/weight-training...able.fsdap.jpg

If i place a incline bench so i get a stretch and use the right peg I should be good to go....?

We have we machines that could almost put you at that incline but ones seated and ones standing I would have to lean on the pad..if that ok I will go with what you posted

we have this one

and a little better this one

You will have trouble being a guinea pig since it has already been done. Trust me when I say that it works. I loved to hate these things.

The one you posted is actually the one in my gym... I just picked the first one that came up on google since they looked close enough to each other. That post was up for like 10 seconds lol. Or can you see it because of your psychic mod skills?

I bet dolars to doughnuts that people who have prolems pushing with their chest will kiss their problems good bye after that 8 weeks, after this program they will probably feel every inch of a press like never before

Dante, will the old school straight vertical pec deck be the next option, if this machine is not available? I feel like i've seen the mentioned machine in the gym, but not sure if it's exactly the one you have posted a pic of. Just want to see if old school is an option.

Thanks

The old school will work somewhat if you can raise the seat--you want to be pressing on the old school vertical machine so the pads are at or lower than your pec line

Some of you will figure out why i think exercise selection is so important about 30-60 minutes after your workout......these things sometimes lend themselves to some weird looking post workout pumps along the sternum.......I think alot of you will go in your bathroom mirror and think "what the hell is going on here?"

Ive heard from some of my local guys over the years (and Ive seen it with myself) about 15 times......youll see.....check the mirror when you get home especially if you really worked the "one onethousand, two onethousand stretch"......your inner pecs are not going to look like they normally do post workout pump...LOL

and no i really dont have an explanation for it

This is great stuff Dante. My innter chest a long with my entire chest is by far my weakest body part...not sure if this applys to guys with only the problem the original poster had, but i am eager to give this a shot. Like you mentioned if your chest sucks as it is..what's 2-3 months of trying something new going to hurt? Thanks for taking th time to post this type of info.

Also, i checked out my DC dvd right when i got home and wojo does a very similiar movment, one differnce i noticed is i believe he was standing the entire movement and not sitting.

Damn Dante, stirring shit up. I can't wait to see what your post looks like in eight weeks... I'm glad I have a decent chest cause from the explanation I can feel the pain. Remind me not to come to you whining about my legs being sub-par or needing help. I would like to walk for eight weeks. Just kidding, I'm glutten for punishment.

Dante, could the one one thousand two one thousand stretch be applied to barbell or dumbell presses?
