PROJECT SUPERHEAVYWEIGHT: Starring Dusty Hanshaw, a nonbendable squatbar+raw power
Right around this time last year I was really burnt out on training people and felt it was time to close it down.....I just didnt have the fever for it anymore. I was turning away people left and right and then I got Dusty Hanshaws questionairre......I like my trainee's a little bit "off", like at any moment you could find them up on a Bell Tower somewhere, or wanting to swim with Great White Sharks "because its Tuesday and chum slicks are fun"
So I did my regular trainee checkup and sent Dusty for a Cat Scan......

Age: 27 Height: 5' 11" Offseason weight we got up to: 297 LBS Currently: 8 weeks out from the Border States on October 18th (Jon Lindsay is reinforcing the stage joists) Training partner and guy who has to spot Dusty who lives his life in daily fear: Ryan Humiston Dusty's lovely girl and rock: Evian Due to his constant bending of squat bars, Dusty's gym went out and acquired a special non bendable squat bar and both other gym members and Dusty are very content now. Ninety Nine percent of people wake up in the morning and think of their leg workout "You know im going to go in there today and do a couple leg extensions with 40lbs, 3 sets of leg press for 12 reps with 2 plates on each side, and maybe if im really feeling all out gusto Im going to rock some smith machine lunges with 10's on each side for 8 reps each"....BRING IT! And then you got guys with a different mentality alltogether....."Hey lets stand up with 14 plates on the squat(1), then walk out with it(2), then squat down with it and then at that point.....come back up with it(3)!

Thanks for all of the kind words everyone but the work is just beginning. With Dante's help I was able to put on a lot of quality size this past off season not to mention Dante is the only guy who was able to figure out what it would take my arms to grow. I am very excited to be prepping for this show with Dante taking care of my training and Alex A handling all of my dietary needs. All I have to do is whatever they ask and lift a little weight.
These shots are just the beginning and after this show I look forward to seeing what D has in store for my next off season to move up the ranks a little higher.
