You guys that dont like to rack chins......want to see what your missing?

Teres Major/Lat dorsi....that is the huge difference in Dusty's back that I have seen from him make incredible strides on from rack chins and static hangs

I will highlight in red

I still havent convinced you to do rack chins?

Dave Henry in 2002 when he won his pro card (picture one)

Dave Henry the other day in the Europa (picture two)

Dave Henry has my rack chin record of any trainee Ive ever trained--I believe it was up toward 175lbs in his lap for 21 reps..... and it shows.

How about this Dante. This is before extreme stretching and DC training.

Yeah, I would say it works.

I truly can't believe just how much rack chins and extreme stretching have done to widen Dusty's back. I can't even imagine the changes that we will see after a second off-season of DC training.

Here is a comparison pic of Dusty's back before DC and after. Notice the lack of both width and flexibility hitting the rear lat spread before DC.

Dusty said some ridiculous number for rack chins a week or so ago lol... might need to rewrite the record book on that one. 195 for 18RP I think it was

Edit: Ok I sold Dusty short on this one...
Quote:
Last week I used 195 lbs for a set of 15x10x6 with a four count negative.

Great work Dusty, DC, hotfigure et al - this thread and Dusty's journal have sparked some motivation in me which has been lacking for a while. So thanks for that.

How long did Dusty stay up around the 297lbs mark to get his body to acclimatise to the new mass?

Looking wide as a barn door... Love the comparison.

I love the rack chins, its one of those exercises that has you catching feelings when you have to let it go for a while due to lack of progression.

load an ez bar, strap in with one arm, use the other arm to lift the ezbar on your lap, strap in the second, put your feet up on the bench. (this works up to 150lbs i would guess. if the rack is too narrow for the length of the ezbar, use the smithmachine)

justin harris and dusty both had weak backs before dc. now they are their strongest bodyparts.

(is there anyone who did dc for 2+ years and still has a weak back or weak legs?)

Great were the improvements showed and I'm sure that you'll reach a new level of condition this season.
Congrats to you Dusty and to all the team (Dante, hotfigure, Alex A)

I'm not exactly sure how long I was at 297 but I do know that I was over 290 for months before I started to diet. That being said these shots are just the beginning. Now that I have adapted to DC 100% and Dante knows my body I think this upcoming offseason should help me reach all new levels of size and density.

Also I am glad that my thread was motivating to you. Keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks Scott,

I actually will finally be getting a few done soon. Honestly I have a bit of a problem with doing a video because I don't want it to take away from the work that needs to be done so I just hired a kid from the gym to shoot some video in a week when he gets back from New York. I know it's just a quick clip but I hate distractions and I figure if I'm going to have any video out there it will be of me training exactly as I would without a camera there. I can't have my partner filming if I need him pushing me through the depths of hell during my set. So hopefully I will have some up soon.

Dusty

Thanks for the kind words. All I can say is that DC training is absolutely the real deal. If you are looking to get as much muscle as possible and you are running a few cards short of a full deck then DC training is for you. Dante is truly an innovator and I can't wait to get this show over with so DC can get me to my goal of being a true FREAK.
