Thoughts and big prayers needed guys/gals!
Posted this in this forum b/c I feel close to all you guys. I am just real worried right now. I have a nephew (14 yrs old) who is currently on life support right now. He has been diagnosed w/ krones disease. Things have gotten real bad. There is some sort of abcess from a surgical procedure recently done and the doctors cannot find how or where the infection is coming from? It has gotten now to the point of him being put on a ventilator b/c they don't want him moving or anything so they can find out where this is all going. Homonunculus, this is Greg's boy. 14 yrs olf and has lost 20 lbs in the past week. Let's just hope for the best. If you get a chance, keep him in your prayers guys/gals. I really appreciate it.

It really opens your eyes when stuff like this happens. I am sick as a dog w/ some type of cold and I just think how much worth my little nephew has it right now. Dante has posted about stuff like this before and I find it admirable the way he has such compassion. I just have a big heart for people and hate to see stuff like this happen.

Im going to add a little here too.... Our lil cousin will be on the life support 4 a few days. They are basically "medically sedating" him and scrambling to find the source of the infection. For those of you who have never heard of CROHN`s disease, it is an inflammation of the colon. This infection that he has is not only in the colon itself, but in his abdomen and bowels....as TH mentioned, he is one hell of an athlete and is going to be a freshman in high school. He comes from a family where our cousin (his father) owns a state of the art physical therapy facility and his wife is sweet as pie. They are very well known and respected in our community as well as all over the states...it just proves that things can happen to anyone at anytime!!
we will keep ya up to date!!!

I am coming out of lurking mode after 3 years on this one. I have already prayed for him and all will be well. Please get your hands on a book by Jordan Rubin called "Patient Heal Thyself". Mr. Rubin also had a life threatening case of Crohn's disease and cured himself of it.
He got to the point where they didn't think he would live through the night but he is totally well now and even has a HUGE website devoted to helping others now who have the same problem. Blessings to all here. Thanks, Griff |

I will check and see if its in his blood...as for now this is all we know...Im going to call and talk to Greg soon...it is just a rollercoaster..one day he is feeling better and the next day they are having another surgery...he is in st louis barnes hospital getting the best care possible, so all we can do is be there for them whenever need be and pray that God guides him along the way!!!
