Question need help

hello!
i have question about squat!

what distinction of squat styles
if your legs are closer each other or distance is longer(wider)?

which is better of them?

it depends on what you are more comfortable with. i believe a wide stance will bring the glutes, hams, lower back, and hips more into play then a closer stance squat. it is a shorter distance to move the weight also. but then again a lot of people lack the flexibility to use this style effectively.

me personally , i hate close stance squats . they are too brutal on my knees . i squat wide , because it is more comfortable for me .

i wouldnt say one is better than the other , because a close stance is going to work you differently than a wide stance . it depends on what you are squatting for .

are you a powerlifter ? im assuming you are since you posted this in the powerlifting forum .

yeah from what i understand (again, i'm a noob) most PL'ers squat wide, especially on box squats. I think its pretty common at least for westside to squat WIIIIDE on a box, then when its time to do the competition lift narrow the stance just enough to hit depth.

The reason for this is because wide squats = hit P chain more

...but i could be wrong.

i am powerlifter!
i cannot decide which is better i am 172 cm and mass 67 kg!
without any weight in squat for me better is do closer stance squat!
