Who I am
Hello everyone,
Thanks for taking time to learn a little about me. I am currently enrolled at UW-Platteville and I am pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. I spent all of high school and the first two years of college worrying about staying light for wrestling and after I was done with wrestling I decided bodybuilding looked like the thing for me. I already had the discipline and a decent build so I figured what the hell. I started lifting when I was 14, about 5'2" 115 pounds. I could bench 135 and squat 225. That was the first time I had touched a weight. I loved lifting and just never really stopped. Just recently I have found my calling for bodybuilding and have seriously started putting on mass, well for the first couple months anyway, but now I am cutting down for my first show in October. I am actually doing two shows, one in Ohio on Oct. 4 and one Oct. 18 in WI. I started cutting 16 days ago and weighed about 177-178 in the mornings. I currently weigh 168 in the mornings and for being ten weeks out I believe I am ahead of schedule. I believe I am around 7% BF at the moment, but again I have never been over 10% in my life, at least not since I was very very young. I have always been upper body dominant but have started focusing a lot on legs and am noticing a big difference in them. I can currently squat about 400 I believe. I have never put that much on the bar but have done 365 for 5 reps. Bench press I can do about 325. Last week I set 290 on my chest, held it for a second and successfully pressed it, which is a personal best for pausing. Bench has always been my favorite lift. My goal is to bench twice my weight, which I have come close to on many occasions and squat three times my weight which is going to take a little longer. I am hoping to do well in my shows in Oct. and if so I believe I will be hooked for life! Thanks for learning a little about me. |

Cool and welcome. Nice story. Got any pictures? I don't really know how 168 looks on a 5-2 frame lol.
And Good luck in your comps! You dieting with anybody or winging it?
