Uhoh Bench Shirt Training
Whats happen my fellow powerlifting conesewers(i know i butchered the hell out of that word) i just wanted to drop a line and tell everyone how things were going. This summer is going pretty shitty to be honest, i am working only 3 days a week, sounds sweet right, NOT, get there at 6 get home at 7 and feel like shit when i get home, then i have physical geography class twice a week for 4+ hours so as you guys would expect my training hasnt been so great, but fortuneately im looking forward to my senior year in college to come up and punish the gym there like last year. anyways, i dont know if you guys knew, but i am trying the geared lifting thing, and so far i bought a used titan katana, ipf approved its a size 46 and its an angled sleeve. my best raw bench was my first competition i did which was 320 and i have only been in my shirt around 5 total times if that. this past monday was the first time in my shirt in around a month and here is how the session went......
135x10 warmup 225x6 wu 225x5 wu add shirt (you guys think i should warmup raw with boards more before or what before adding the shirt?) all these were smoke shows 365x1 3 board 405x1 3 board 455x1 2 board 485x1 1 board *new pr 500xmiss 1 board i was happy but i wanted more, i really should of got that 500, it touched perfect, i took it low and pushed it up about half way then all of a sudden, my left arm started shooting towards the rack and the weight was about to come down on my face, luckily i had two spotters to pick it up. so, for the gear gurus up in here, how does this workout seem so far for a rookie? i love gear so far man seriously, i just dont know if i should stick with single ply or go to double ply or what, i guess i will just give it time and find out. i plan on getting a brand new katana, just a size smaller haha, or a new rage x single ply and a new centurion squat suit real soon. within the next year i want to squat 685 bench 550 and deadlift 675 as a junior at 220. i know that seems a little far fetched right now, but i definitely think once i learn the gear real well, things will turn out in my hand, especially since i have you guys to help me. |
