ive never been there though && it was a last minute call but

It goes without saying, and its a safe place, but its important to be careful.

Its easy to get into trouble in New York City.

I live in Fl now but originally from Albany, NY. The city is a nice EXPENSIVE place to visit but thats about it

I will be going to NYC in August. Wife and 3 friends. Staying in Yonkers at someones house for 4 1/2 days. My first time there as well. My wife, although she has never been is from Manila, Philippines which is just as big as New York though NYC has more skyscrapers. She will probably fall in love with the place. We went to DC last August and she fell in love with it and I think the mass transportation had something to do with it.

If you decide to go out by Buffalo and Niagara Falls enjoy!!!

Gotta have a passport to get into Canada, but well worth it. It is absolutly freaking beautiful.

As for NYC go to little Italy and Chinatown. They are lots of fun, TERRIFIC food (most of which is not the best for you), great little shops and since ur a woman butt loads of knock off but damn close sunglasses, purses, watches, and stuff like that.

What did you do in NYC? I spent all last week there from Monday evening until Thursday night. Had to fly back to FL Friday afternoon. The most ridiculous thing I encounted was in Central Park. We heard cheering every few minutes so we went to see what was happening. A movie was being made. When I asked who it was it was said the Jonahs brothers. Well, then I happened to see NICK? So I took a picture and did a little video just to capture the moment. Though I am not a fan. Taylor Swift was there as well. I briefly saw her up close, I only know because I saw the actual pictures from the paparazzi online. Anyway, when the guys were getting ready to leave a bunch of teen girls next to me were crying out for them and I had to get out of there. Their vehicle drove past us and so did 6 teen girls go running after them. In the process they knocked over a little boy about 4years old.

The movie is supposed to be a 3rd movie coming out in February according to a website I saw with the pictures and info about what they were doing. That was fun to see this happening but it would have been better if I were a fan of them.
