I'm in pretty much no mood to eat right 24-7, so I'm just kinda maintaining, possibly getting a little softer. Pancakes and yogurt raisins are not my friend. My lifts aren't dropping, so hey, moral victory.

Things could take a turn for the better in a week or so, though the money's gonna be shitty for at least another 10-11 months.
Sorry to hear things have still been shitty man. Just your head up and keep doing the best of can. I hope things slowly start getting better for you.

However, we have James Lauranitis who was a top 10 draft pick last year but didnt leave so he is definitely favorite to win best LB award again, then we have Malcolm Jenkins who is favorite to win best overall CB award (our Defensive is fucking stacked out of their mind) and both are supposed to be top draft picks this year.
Beanie Wells our RB, is up right now as a frontrunner in preseason Heisman voting. With our QB Boeckman returning and us having gotten the #1 overall recruit in the country out of high school in Terrell Pryor (QB), we're looking good, reeeeeeal good. Our O-line is also probably the deepest we've ever had it. Offensive line was never a strength at OSU football, now, it might be one of our best aspects this year we have gotten an absolute shitload of top level recruits.

i REALLY hope they do it this year. OSU vs. USC September 13th is basically going to determine our season. USC is VERY good...so that'll be interesting. But GO BUCKs nonetheless!
The Bcukeyes are definitely stacked, no doubt about it. Plus, I think the Big Ten is going to be weak this year since Michigan is in turmoil (sorry Slide). I agree with you that the USC will make or break the season, but we'll also see if they do get to the big game if they can buckle down and win it. They have been dominated by the SEC so we'll see.

Gerogia is defintitely a great team but the SEC is just so stacked that I think it is going to hard to run the table. LSU is tough, Florida, Auburn, Tennesee, every week in that conference is a bowl game.

I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

Today is an off day, so no training to report. I decided to start cruising now rather than do one upper body workout tomorrow. I made that decision for a few reasons. Yesterday was probably the best workout I've had in a long time so it makes sense to end on a high note. I am ridicuously sore (in a good way) from the front squats and deadlifts, but my elbow is also hurting a lot and I don't see the point in pushing one more upper body workout just to cruise afterward anyway. If I were not moving on Thurday I would definitely keep going for a few more weeks because my workouts are the best they've ever been, but since I have to move anyway I figure I might as well rest up the elbow a little in hopes that it isnt as bad when I start back up. Also, I have to be fully packed Wednesday night and wanted to start packing my workout stuff yesterday.

Besides the elbow, things are feeling really good right now. My back is doing great, and I am very encouraged by that after awhile of going hard on a bunch of exercises that previously would have bothered me a lot. I know that people always say that part of being into weightlifting is never being satisfied, so maybe I have the wrong mentality, but I am acutally very happy with my progress to this point. Would I like to be stronger? Sure. And I am going to keep working at it. But at the same time I am just thankful to be at a place where I am having fun with lifting right now and my body for the most part of feeling good. My numbers are very compared to a lot of you beasts on here but I look forward to the challenge of trying to get stronger. This summer has been really good for me in that I helped build a good starting point for myself by bugging everyone for form advice so I now feel comfortable with my form on all the major lifts and I can just focus on bombing away. Also, I have steadily increased my work capacity and pain threshold so I am able to take my sets further than I used to be able to. It has been a long process doing a lift, fliming it, getting feedback, working on it again, etc. but I feel like it has been time well spent because I now feel comfortbale in my form so that I can go hard without worrying about hurting myself. I would recommend anyone that has not filmed their lifts and watched them to do it because it has helped me a lot.

Monday night football tonight! Sure it's just the preseason, but the regular season is so close I can smell it.

I dont know if the Sep 13 meeting is a make or break game btwn OSU and USC as it is so early in the season, OSU has plenty of time to get back after losing to USC. LSU lost late last year and ended up playing and winning it all--so I think it is a good measuring stick for where you are early on in the year.

Turmoil? Nah....just ordered my 2008 shirt. I dont think its going to be as bad as some people think.

Smart move on taking the break--no reason to push it when you have to move in a few days. Thats a workout in itself. Getting excited to back to the city? I imagine, although what do I know, that life is much different than where you are now.

Yea NYC is A LOT different than New Hampshire, lol. It's always a shock to go back there.

Michigan no doubt has great athletes, but here is my problem with them...who is their quarterback. It's not easy to play quarterback in the Big Ten and they don't have anyone with experience.

Yea I always stay out of the gym for the same reason I you--I don't know half speed. The idea of cruise workout seems foolish to me.

USC is always tough. Their recruiting class is almost top in the country. If they can stay healthy (looks like Sanchez and McKnight are hurt) they should be up there in contention again. I love watching them play too. McKnight is probably the most athletic guy in college football other than Percy Harvin at Florida and with Brian Cushing and Rey Malaluga coming back, there defensive is going to be tough.

BTW, did I ever tell you that you remind me of Brian Cushing? You guys have the same build and you both are workout animals. He used to do a lot of stongman stuff in high school. Maybe when you walk on you could replace him lol?

Today is day 2 of the cruise so I'm already bored and ancy, lol. I think I need the break though because I am really sore beasically everywhere and I can tell that my elbows and hips are feeling pretty shot at this point. It seems like my body has been holding up fine with all the squatting and deadlifting, but the one thing which always hurt a lot is my hips. The stretching has helped a ton but I think it is going to important to cruise every so often too.

My weight is down a few pounds which sort of sucks, but that always seems to happen when I cruise. I have not been as good with my eating the past few days because I have been busy getting things done to move so I should get better about that. I'm really not concerned with my weight at this point to be honest though. I just want to get settled into school and if I lose some weight, fine. It'll all work itself out in time.

This morning I did the filming for my gym commercial and that was fun. The commerical is going to air in a couple months and the owner is going to tell me so my mom can TiVo it while I'm at school. They also took some pictures and i'm going to be on the brochure. It's obviously not a huge thing but I must say that it was a cool experience. They filmed me doing about six different lifts so i'm not sure what exactly will go into the commerical. I didn't lift hard or anything, but it was still pretty bad because I am sore as hell right now from the workout on Sunday. He had me doing snatches in lieu of the Olympics because he likes to showcase the bumper plates (he only has 4 45's and 2 25's so you can only go up to 275 lol) and I had never done them. They were easy because I only had 95 lbs, but it was hard just bending over to the bar because my legs and back are so sore lol. If I had known ahead of time I wouldn't have done deadlifts and front squats so hard. Well, I probalby would have, lol. Other than snatches I did leg presses, pec dec flies, chins and walking lunges with 135 (I only did a few steps just for the camera lol). It was annoying though because I would do it and then the camera guy would want to do it again, so I was actually sort of tired. At the end I took some pictures, which was actally sort of hard because he took some with me in the bottom position of lunge for instance, but I had to hold it for awhile for different pics. I was glad to be able to do it though, and I got paid a little bit for today, plus as I said before I got 6 months free membership, plus 2 shirts today that I wore for filming, plus food, plus a gift certificate to a local restuarant, so it was very cool.

Not to turn this into Brunos world of College Football, but 4 years ago, a true freshman by the name of Chad Henne started the season and led the Wolverines to the Rose Bowl.

Very cool about the video, bruno. Not to mention some shirts, cash, food, etc. Glad to hear it went well and all worked out--I totally forgot about this, but glad you were able to get it done prior to leaving.

Please send me a signed brochure, Hollywood.

That's crazy that you know him. That's funny I thought of you too being similar and you see it too. I can only imagine those practices...

You're right about Chad Henne, true. We'll just have to see. Here'e the thing though. New coach, new offense, just seems like a lot of change... Who knows. I hope you are right.

lol, Holywood. I don't think I can send a signed brochure as that would be unfair to my paying customers. If you want I'll give you the date for the brochure signing and you can come wait in line like everyone else, lol.

Thanks Wake. I appreciate that a lot.

I'm acutally liking this cruise. I needed it. It's weird because normally when I cruise it's hard because I want to workout but right now I have no desire to be in the gym at all. This has been an exciting, busy week so it's really not high on my priority list right now. I'm sure once I move that'll change.

This afternoon I'll be loading up a van and first thing tomorrow I'll be heading down. I won't be updating this journal but there's really no training anyway.
