It's pretty simple really. Wash the area you want to apply it to. Get a sterile cottonball and pour some of the dmso on it. Be generous and apply it to your elbow so that it's coated pretty well.. Let it dry.

It itches like a bitch and can give you a little bit of a rash while you're using it but goes away in a few hours. Plus it makes your breath smell like garlic and you get kind of a weird taste in your mouth.

So I would just put it on before bed.

I started with front squats- Last time- 225x6, 185x12, 145x20. This time- 240x6, 205x11, 155x21. These felt really good today. The last rep of the set with 205 was pretty cool because when I started coming up I figured there was no way I was going to get it because I stalled, but I got it. same thing on the last rep of the widow. Whenever I do widows on front squats my vision gets all fuzzy after about 15 reps because breathing is difficult, but these were sick today. My legs were burning like crazy after the widow.

Then it was deadlifts. I started the day thinking I would not do a max pull today but that last all of 10 minutes lol. Last time 425x2, 440x1, 365x7. This time- 405x4!, 445x1!, 370x&!. These felt very good today. The set with 445 was one of the slowest pulls I have seen and I was shaky like crazy, but I did lock it out and I didn't hitch. I held the lockout for a couple seconds because I was so happy to get it. My eyes were all bloodshot after and I was shaking, but I got it. I ended with 370x7 which was very hard but felt good.

Sorry about the video angle on the first set. A guy offered to film and he was retarded, so I just did the other sets by myself.

I ended with leg curls, incline dumbell curls for biceps, and some abs.

All and all I was happy with the workout and I'm spent. I set a goal to pull 455 and I'm closing in on it.
Sick workout. 5 wheels soon ok?

Thanks man. I guess it is easier than I thought. Do you find it works better than things like Flexall or Icy Hot?

5 wheels would be sweet. I set a goal for myself of 455 and I'm almost there (10 pounds to go) so I guess the next step after that it 5 wheels even. That seems like a long way off though.

I appreciate the compliment too dude.

Thanks man, that really means a lot to me coming from you since I have always admired your work ethic and drive (not to mention you're strong as an ox). I appreciate you dropping by. By the way, those strongman videos are sick! Talk about motivation...those deadlifts with the monster tires are one the sickest things I've seen.

Today was an off day so no training to report. I am really sore all over between front squats and deadlifts, so the day off is much needed. I made a few changes in my diet yesterday and I'm hoping that they will get things going again with my weight. I think they will.

The weather here has been great and I was able to get outside most of the day. It was cool because I am seeing two kids today as part of big-brother sort of program, and normally we each meet privately but they are about the same age so today the 3 of us go together to hang out. They really liked each other which is cool because they live close to each other and have been having trouble making friends. We went to the beach, went to the driving range, and went out for some ice cream. It is really rewarding, but honestly it is also fun. Today I showed them the proper way to do pushups and they had a pushup contest, which was funny to watch. One of the kids plays baseball and one plays soccer, and I think they're both going to be studs. We are only meeting once or twice more before I go back to NYC for school, and I am going to miss it. It was funny though because they kept asking me what was wrong because I was walking goofy from being so sore.

Youre a special guy, bruno. As much as I respect your work ethic and desire to improve in the gym, the fact that you spend time with these kids as a role model is much more impressive.

At least you didnt tell them your ass was sore from the beating the SAWKS have been taking from the Angels. Getting rid of Manny soon?

Damn...Friday is Aug...youll be back in the big city in no time. Side note, I think I read there was another BB meet in Derry, NH this weekend (NPC Team New England Natural).

Cardio? Eh, not so much. I acutally have thought about cardio a few times, but those thoughts quickly faded away. I may add it in a later point, depending on what Skip thinks. I think the diet changes will be very good.

Thanks slide that means a lot. Honestly I really like hanging out with those two guys and it has sucked this summer because it is not as frequent. During school it was once a week but now that they are in day camps its less. Both of them lost thier fathers to suicide at about the same age I did so I feel I can relate to them a lot. Someone did something similar for me right after my dad died and I found it to be a lot more helpful than any therapy.

Man, I thought my Sox were supposed to be good?!?!?! This is pathetic. I'll be pissed if they get rid of Manny.

August already... I'll be in the city in about 4 weeks, assuming I have a place to stay, lol. I can't wait. Thanks for the heads up on that show. I'll look into it. Not sure that I want to make the drive but we'll see. I am planning on going to a powerlifting meet August 16th so that should be fun. Actually, detazathoth is competing in it.

I've had those exact some thoughts many times.

In some ways yes, in some ways no. I am pretty laid back for the most part as far as my personality and I usually joke around a lot, so in that sense I am not intense. I am not the kind of person to walk around with a serious face all the time. At the same time, I am a very hard worker and try to do the best I can in everything I do, mainly work and school. I like the work I'm doing right now so I put a lot into in, and I've always been a hard worker in school. I honestly don't like academics too much, but I think they are important so I do my best, so I guess I am sort of intense in that respect.

I don't really know to be honest. I just really like to lift weights. Right now I really want to get stronger. Sometimes I think I would like to a bodybuilding show, sometimes I think I would like powerlifting, it all seems cool. I know that doesn't really answer the question but that is because I really have no disitnct goals, especially with my body.

I was VERY happy with today's workout. Everything felt good today and my numbers all went up. I really think this new 3 day scedule is going to be great for me because it seems like my numbers are climbing a lot. Anyway, the workout. I have a couple good videos from lifts I haven't done in awhile.

Plate-Loaded Chest Press- I have always liked this machine and it feels ok with my elbow because the palms face each other. I added 15 pounds from last time and matched the reps. I am happy with this because my chest has always been very weak but I am starting to move some good weight. 3plates+27.5x8 (almost 9). The weight on this is decieving because it seems like a ton but I think the machine is easy so it is not crazy, but still very heavy for me.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

For shoulder I did some laterals and front raises because I wanted to be careful with my elbow and didn't want to do too much pressing.

Triceps- less than 10 minutes of various dumbell extensions and pushdowns. Again, didn't want to push it with the elbow.

My back exercises were very good today.

BTN Rack Chins- I really was hoping I could find someone to help me load the dumbell because I find it a lot easier and I can do more weight, but I couldn't so I had to use the belt. I really wanted to do 100 but since I was going solo I used 95. These felt really good and I was pretty fried after these.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

T-Bars were also very good today. I made a few changes based on the feedback I got last time. First, I used 25 pound plates for a larger rom since I was touching the plates to the floor on each rep with the 45's. This helped a lot. I also did the reps in a more controlled manner and payed special attention to controlling the negatives more after the feedback from Novaz. I think these reps were a lot tighter and better, but I am curious what others think. 7platesx10, 8 platesx6, 6 platesx15. I think the overall weight was not a huge jump from before but because I used 25 pound plates rather than the 45's and did the reps more slowly I consider this a big improvment. My back was so pumped after these and the rack chins it was insane.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

All and all I was happy with how it went today. My elbow was not bothering me too much and I'm glad i didn't push it with shoulder and triceps because I want to let it heal more. My arms have not gotten much direct work but I really don't mind. I've never liked arm training, and I also feel like they get worked doing presses, chins, rows, etc.

Damn seriously nice.
Nice failure on the chest pressing and nice f'ing weight. I did adopt using 35's and stacking a shit ton of 25's also on tbars. Sometimes, however, I find that putting an ass ton of 25's on there led to the bar being so disproportionally loaded it was actually harder to do. So now 45's have to be on there and i just focus on taht negative like ure talking and make sure there's no jerk in my movement and it works well.

Tbars are such a damn classic exercise dude i love those. I don't think i will ever take them out of a blast.

nice work man.

could always place a weight flat on the ground to step on to get a little extra rom if you're still using those 45's

i'm not always so quick to say great job, am I? haha

tbars - focus on arching again...keep your chest and chin up the whole time. and focus not on pulling the weight up, but pulling your elbows back.

good effort as always dude. vids look like you're growing.
