question about potatos

most of the time I just peel them and eat them raw.
is it better or worse than baking?

I read somewhere that you shouldn't eat potatoes raw because they have toxins in them. Just passing that on.

"raw potatoes are not toxic, with the exception of the green parts. These may contain toxic levels of solanin. Raw potatoes, however, may cause flatulence in many people..."

"poataoes contain 'starches' which are digestable only very slowly in raw form by humans. They need to be cooked to have the starch in an useable form."

dont peel them, just wash them and eat the peeling. thats where the fiber and most of the nutrients are.
