Vick, for instance, initially refused to admit he took part in the hanging of a dog. He claimed instead that he carried the underperforming dog over to co-conspirator Quanis Phillips, who then hung him. But Phillips had stated that Vick had carried the dog over and after Phillips slipped a noose around its neck, Vick let the dog drop.

"He denied having hands on involvement in killing the dogs," Gill said. "He made a false statement; it was a calculated effort to hide the truth."

Gill said Vick eventually admitted to killing two dogs, "one by drowning, one by hanging."

I'm disappointed he only got 23 months though, but I guess thats the benefits to being an athlete, he deserves a good long 12 or so years, that will teach him. Let a couple life sentence jail birds have their fun with him, and then after those twelve years he should never be allowed to play in the NFL again and made to create a dog rescue organization with all that damn money he has. That shit just disgusts me man, how can a human being do something so sickening, I don't get it, and he has all the money you could ask for, he had the world by the balls. I don't know, but I am glad he is at least getting almost 2 years, even though it aint much. Just keep doing what your doing sweat machine, thats really awesome and guess what, yesturday was the first time I checked this section out and I watched the youtube videos and the other one, and I guarantee that once I graduate college, I am going to get a babby pit, no doubt about it. Thanks again.

This is a little late, but this was a good post. I have a blog in which I repeatedly hounded on Vick and other animal abusers. I live in a state in which there are no animal cruelty laws that are a felony, and it makes me burn inside. We'll get it passed one of these years though.
